Hi there. I'm also 41. Welcome to the club. And I say... Do what makes you happy. You're an adult. It's your money, time, and your life. And if you aren't harming anyone, if you are a functioning member of society, then no one has the right to tell you what to do. If they love doing things that "aren't childish", that's fine. But just because they found something they like, doesn't mean they have the right to dictate how you live. I would love to own some toys and watch anime.7 points

I know an elderly gentleman in his sixties who still enjoys playing happily with children we all know finding work these days is tough. But don't worry, if you've got a craftsmanship you can always make a living from it5 points

Ohai! First of all, it's nice to see you back, Stars ^•^ And congratulations with a new big chapter in your life! ^e^ Also I want to say that there's nothing wrong with you. It's normal to feel anxiety under such circumstances. It's quite stressful to move out of your home alone for long time. I believe, you will find new friends there. Just give things time and patience, please =3 And keeping eyes and ears open helps too. Your headphones are helping to isolate you from noisy distractions while you're studying but also they can prevent people from interaction with you. Cheers, Stars 9o9 Your Internet unicorn Cryp4 points

Awww you sound like such a darling partner! Sometimes, it's more about the experience than it is about the money. Treasure those moments. They are forever. And congrats to such a cute couple.3 points

Thank you, my roommate and I don't have much in common, but we're comfortable enough around each other. We talk occasionally, but it seems like she's busy with schoolwork or talking with her friends/family whenever she's around and I don't want to intrude too much on that time. My school does have a free therapy group to those that need it, so I might give that a try. Yeah sort of, our school has a good agricultural science program so we have a dairy center, a horse center, a sheep/goat center, and we grow stuff too. Part of the reason I chose the school was because it has a lot of hands-on opportunities for animal science students.3 points

I doubt it helps but you're definitely not the only person at your university dealing with those issues. I personally took really well to being on my own and living on-campus but a lot of my peers struggled, even if they had a good friend group on-campus. You should try making friends with some folks in your classes, especially the folks you sit close to. I met a lot of friends in college that way, literally just talking to classmates next to me before class starts and walking and talking after class ends. That said I know COVID changed things A LOT socially, at least it did for me. But I was also a Sophomore going into my Junior year right i3 points

No Government and media terrorism. Don't get me started. Anyway, good luck. More like kids glowing way down.3 points

It does! I'm thinking of using that one when I wanna be cute, but the other as my design. Just not sure. Thank you for your opinion!2 points

Sometimes, game isn't just a game ^•^ Roleplay is like theatre for me 🎭 Magic of illusion 🪄 which may contain nore truth than reality. 9^92 points

What pisses me off is that inevitably the cover for the battery compartment breaks and you have to put tape over it.2 points

Glitch Hop. An odd choice for Celestia, but when it is used for her, even Glitch Hop sounds majestic.1 point

Yeah, I've had her general look for a long time, and I always wondered if the periwinkle lavender was the best choice because it might look too much like Twilight. So I changed it to a Periwinkle with blue undertones. I got a great deal from the artist I got from Reddit. Super excited to see opinions.1 point

I think that both of them are super-cute! 😃 That said, your first picture looks more original but Twilight Sparkle is my favorite and that’s who the second reminds me of.1 point

It is SO good to see you back! I had missed you and your lovely art. Thank you for checking in. Congrats on your graduating! Sounds like it was an emotionally intense chapter in your life and you've done a lot! The cute cows and nature photos were endearing. ;~;1 point

Thank you, Shiny. Your reply warmed my heart and was thoughtful, and I’m grateful you shared it. You always manage to see the heart of things, and I appreciate that more than you know.1 point

We'll be awaiting your return in another event with excitement, Dusk. It was truly a pleasure to get to know you and to know that we've had such a positive effect on you by being ourselves, during the race. Please, know that you can always send messages to the friends you made here, if you ever want to chat.1 point

The original idea was to be playful, but I didn't communicate it properly. However, I do see the appeal in what you are saying about using Alicorn status as a leg up. Thank you for the reply. The event has been super fun!1 point

Don't worry, I also sometimes write quickly, just to post before the scene is over. Or even worse, when I don't roleplay, there's no time limit, and I still want to send something before I have to get back to work. I think that taking advantage of being an alicorn to intimidate someone into giving you the cannon would be a great move, and I'm curious what would've happened if you had used your original idea. I'm fine with scenes where my OC is clearly in trouble. (Or where he thinks he is. ) That obstacle in particular was not very popular anyway. (Not sure if it was because of the location, or because it was about competition ins1 point

Huh. Thanks for clearing that up. Never knew any of that. Bluetooth. Well, how the hell about that? Makes sense. That explains why game controllers drain so quickly. That would be hella annoying for TV remotes. Still, I wish they'd invent a TV remote that lasts a long time and can go through small obstacles.1 point

@Silly Druid Ah! In that case, it's very experimental in the best way.1 point

@Samurai Equine Oops! Wrong song. I edited the main post, the one I originally intended to post is now at the beginning.1 point

Game controllers use bluetooth, TV remotes use infrared. Bluetooth is radio waves, it can go a limited distance, but can go through some obstacles. IR needs line of sight. Howver, IR uses way less power than bluetooth, can go a longer distance and the line-of-sight requirement can be a good thing. For example, if you have multiple TVs in different rooms (or even the same room) made by the same manufacturer. Yes, you could pair the remote with the TV, but that would create a new problem - you wouldn't be able to use the same remote on different TVs. I have two AC units, both are made by the same manufacturer, so both respond to the s1 point
