I take showers :X But otherwise, I sing whatever happens to be on my mind at the moment, which is usually like TWELVE SONGS. I just choose one, sing it, then go down the list until I'm done taking a shower. Then I keep singing because I have about twenty more songs stuck in my head after I've finished singing the other twelve.

I personally have no preference as to how you spell things. I spell words the American way, but if you want to spell things like colour, armour, etc. I won't get at ya for it I personally don't think that the teacher should get after you for it either. That actually is the correct spelling for the word, whether or not we use it.

Now I know what you're thinking. "Really? An unofficial response to some random grimdark fanfic written by an AMATEUR WRITER at that? Sounds pretty lame :|" It started as just a backstory for my OC, but as I got more and more into it, developed an in-depth plot, and started to receive positive reviews, I just couldn't stop myself. Note that I'm not aiming for a completely grimdark tone, though it can get pretty graphic at times. It's more dramatic than anything. I'm also still in the writing stage, and admittedly, don't work on it very often (Maybe like... one day a month :X), but I'm not gonna give up on it, so if it does happen to interest you, know that the next part WILL inevitably be released. But basically, the story is about a young, teenaged pegasus named Bladewing who had finally reached his final exams in Advanced Flight School. As events unfold, he begins to question the legitimacy of failed ponies' alleged "banishment" from Cloudsdale... Yeah, I get how that is. Except I'm a bit opposite. For example, I'll say "This is a really nice picture.", then someone comes along and says "I don't like this picture." and I'm like "WHAT, MY OPINION IS ALL THAT MATTERS BRO, GTFO." So um. I'm a nice person. Welcome to the forums!

Oh, uhhhh, just the usual. 5' 11" (I think...), very slender build (I was able to effectively go as Slenderman for Halloween this year), dark brown, mid-length curly hair, drab green eyes, my FAVORITE jacket (Navy blue Abercrombie and Fitch jacket with a stripe going down each arm), shirt that has Sweetie Belle saying "DUMB FABRIC" and tugging at the shirt, blue jeans (I wear like... nothing else), and my "BRONY" wristband. Oh, and I wear stylin' glasses.

Those are pretty darn good for first drawings, nice work You've got the shape right for the most part, it's just the form that's a little off. For the hind legs, make the flank a little rounder and start the knee joint (sorry if I don't know correct anatomical terms :S) just below the chest. The ears need to be a tad bigger as well. Anyways, good work for your first try

It is, in fact, your style. Assuming we're talking about cartoons here, which we are, making things anatomically correct is entirely irrelevant. If the type of art you create is unique to you, that makes it more interesting. If everyone drew the exact same way, that would be really boring But we are getting really off-topic here. Assuming you stick to your message and ignore this one, thank you. With these kinds of conversations, I always keep going on and on :S

There are no "correct proportions" in art, and the goal of this whole endeavor was just to draw a Twilight, not to replicate a picture perfectly. If you add style, all that does is add in your own uniqueness to a picture, which is good. Proportions should be based on how the drawing itself looks rather than the reference you used. Wellp, there's my two cents on appreciating art Hmm. What if you were to make the skeleton in Paint, then drew on top of that skeleton in GIMP? Would help you a TON with making stuff. Although I'm pretty sure there's a circle tool in GIMP too, but Iunno, I hardly use it :S

Actually, the proportions he has are practically perfect (Mary Poppins anyone). He just adds a bit of style to it, particularly slenderness. That said, when I draw I just skip the skeleton part completely and freehand the whole thing. It takes a bit more trial-and-error, but in the end it works for better hand-coloring (especially with my crappy erasers ) Anyways, back to the OT. I personally find MS Paint to be a lot easier to use for just making ponies. That ease probably stems from my younger days when all I did on the computer was make stuff in Paint, but that curvy line tool is THE most useful tool of them all. So far all I've used GIMP for is adding color to my drawings. Otherwise, I'd go with what thegoodhen said, it looks like you replicated perfectly than warped it comically

Thanks, and there's a funny story behind that Derpy pic. My librarian watches MLP and I had an overdue book and a fine, and she said she'd waiver the fine if I drew her a pic of Derpy. She got the original pic laminated and still has it taped to her office window XD (Oh, and if you look closely, you can see that she's holding the book upside-down ) Yeah, I really need to just get a sketchbook or something. For some reason, though, I tend to draw better on notebook paper. Weird. And here are a couple more. the first one's for my friends, I'm thinking on adding in all of their OC's into it as time goes by. As of right now, it's not /quite/ finished, Cyve's eyes still need to be colored and he still needs to come up with his cutie mark :X Darn scanner making it look all grainy <_< And this one's a sketch of Rainbow Dash I drew a while back, it got pretty wrinkled up so sorry about that. If anyone wants to photoshop it, PLEASE do so lol

Thanks, I usually use him in my fanfics and that was the best description I could come up with that would fit wth all of them And I play a mix of everything in TF2, really, but I tend to play more as the Scout or Medic. I'm always like the only medic on my team keeping EVERYONE alive at once, and it keeps me on my toes. I luvit <3 Crossbow + Amputator and I'm able to make myself pretty effective in combat as well (Syringe guns don't like me >.<)

Found out about the series and watched every episode that had come out at that time in 2 days. Then I went back and read the Cupcakes fic and felt sick afterwards. So yeah! Hey everyone, I'm Bladewing! My OC is a gray-coated pegasus pony with a black and white mane/tail, green eyes, and a talent for combat. He's half-changeling, and able to feed off of the emotions of others for boosts to his personal abilities. He eventually obtains the ability to travel to other universes freely after creating the group "The Dark Horses" and subsequently raiding and destroying the Rainbow Factory. He was born in the Rainbow Factory universe but often visits others. Anyways, about me irl. I like watching TV (MLP: FiM, Adventure Time, Regular Show, Ghost Adventures, etc.) and listening to music.
