My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Fluttershy How did you find MLP Forums?: Googled the term. I'm bored on Christmas break so I'm looking for some fun online hangouts.
How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: I was pretty disinterested in the show at first, but one of my friends eventually linked me enough videos for one of them to catch my interest. I think it was the fan content that gave it the added depth I fell in love with, because that's the difference between a cartoon and a truly immersive story, fantasy, or fan base.
I'm way too old for cartoons (lies! never too old!) but watch them all the time anyway, study as a hobby but never seem able to focus long enough on one thing, and want to work either in the field of technology or language.
Fluttershy is my favorite because I go through the whole shy/awkward thing myself. If I had to stop being a hermit and befriend someone, she's the kind of person... pony... character... who I'd love to meet.
The hive mind that wants everyone to assimilate, stop having difficult or critical discussions, and stop not agreeing on everything. Every fandom has one.
