We did this with a good friend of ours, who is a tech geek. It's a really neat science experiment, but not really practical for larger applications.

The overall principal of this device seems similar to a flame licker engine. It doesn't work on a large scale. But most large scale forging today uses induction heating, but you just won't see the object levitate...

Watching this video makes me wish our friend didn't convert his into a still....
