II dont really like trying to get logical about children films, yet at the risk of bordering on fanficky:... So twilight is suppose to be getting some crown (according to one source), this could either be taken literally, meaning it was why she crossed the portal in the first place, which then leads me to believe the crown is property of Equestria. Or it kight just have meant that twilight is, for whatever reason, attempting to win the school formal and receive THAT crown, which may or may not be the same as said former crown. I reckon (admittedly based on practically jack squat), that the crown is the main source of the portal, and being that it is of some godly equestrian property; it created a dimension based on Equestria. It was either stolen (by the main antagonist, who wanted to reign over their own created world) or fell in or wtv. Twilight needs to win it back legitimately for wtv reason. Some revelationnwill occur at the end where if the crown returns to Equestria than this new dimension will cease to exist so twilight is like "aww shucks you guys keep it" and then is all like "gee celestia is gonna hate me for purposely failing my mission" and then just like with 50% of the plot of season 3 (example, Spitfire to RD), celestia is like "Awww you're such a swell pony ok you can still be alicorn" credits. "our friendship transcends dimensions we are hip". Then there is a post credits segment where an egil human is all like "muhahaw friendship is magic huh? Well magic dont exist here so..." dun dun dunnnn Yeh i bsed the latter part. hope their names dont become too wild...or less wild i guess.

Im pretty sure his 'official' name tweeted was just a joke...right?...right?? 0.0 Anyways, yeah I wouldnt be surprised if they commit to this, they'll want some kind of plot twist and what better than the feeling of betrayal in an otherwise friendshipy world. What I dont want is the whole "Omg twilight like get away from my bf" "soz twilight my gf is being angsty again i'll see you later" *twilight becomes formal queen* "twilight you're popular now so only now will i start dating you"

Honestly, I dont see anything wrong with seeing him as a love interest whether minor or majorly, and anyone who seems bothered by this or people thinking this strike me as people who are inlove with a non-existant pony and are jealous of her non-existant bf. As for OP, no thats just way too farfetched, for starters why would a movie like this go so far to explain something so benign. Secondly we already see characters like the CMC at their appropriate ages.

I wasnt trying to say "Zomg they are definately romantically involved" yet it seems many bronies are so infatuated with their tv ponies that even trying to entertain the notion in jest gets them riled up and spew all sorts of rubbish.

The show never really picked up here in the UK, it didnt help that they put it on the Boomerang channel, a channel where they show really old boring cartoons :/ They spelt it 'Theatres' in the trailer though so I was hoping they were referring to the entire west lol Although the merchendise did pick up

Well obviously I dont mean they are literally an item in FiM (if anything I say that just to rile people up, shame on me) howver as I mentioned, in that scene, the ponies have a reasonable distance between eachother yet twilight and this stallion are practically invading eachothers private space. If anything tho, if the fandom wanted to group the character with a particular ponyvile colt, then it'd most likely be this one. The fact that hes next to twilight sparkle in that particular scene is just a bonus. Should really keep an eye out on this stallion if we plan to rewatch episodes.

In the scene, the ponies have a reasonable distance between each other, however Twilight and this stallion were standing noticeably close together. Yeah yeah, could just be a coincidence, but considering all the colourings that could have chosen in Equestria girls, and the fact they are standing quite close in that image, I do wonder if they based him on that.
