Honestly, when I saw the potato game, https://mlpforums.com/topic/202194-count-until-the-potato-attack/#comment-6215170
That's all I could think of.

Our first dog ever will be put down tomorrow Friday. The x rays from the vet concluded that his multiple organ failures and total loss of appetite for 3 days now mean he has little chance of recovery, let alone a peaceful death.
After attending so many funerals now, including those of close family and friends, I should be used to death now. But the loss of a pet particularly pierces deep.

Just a friendly psa for those in hot climates this summer I stay cool and do NOT overwork yourself. I tried to walk a hiking trail with asphalt right now that was longer than I expected and I pushed myself too hard. Nearly fainted from heat exhaustion.
stay safe out there!

Just by looking at it, the Gen 5 animation and art style look oddly reminiscent of Steven Universe. Not sure what to make of that....

I just had an unusual thought. Even if we assume G5 is 1000s of years into the future, we don't know how dragons age. If Spike, Ember or Smolder were still alive then, I wonder what they would look like as fully mature adult dragons?

Last night I had the most unusual and depressing dream. I am a fan of the MLP character Cranky Doodle, but this was the first time I had a dream with him. It was sobering and odd. He talked to some doctor or scientist about having a terminal illness and not having long to live. Later Pinkie came to see him only to realize Cranky had passed away. From what I gathered, she was confused and had a hard time coping with it and it seemed to end on that solemn note.
The rest was some random South Park post covid nonsense with Cartman trying to go back in time that led nowhere. But the whole idea of fictional characters in a show like FiM dealing with mortality itself, seemed profound to me and just got me thinking about our own lives and mortality. Just some food for thought I suppose and I wanted to get this off outta my head before I forgot.
I guess for me this was just a necessary exercise of thought and emotion, but it felt worth letting out.
