Rainbow Eclipse

The Blythe Brothers @, After Riley freed himself from the bubble, he and Reece tilted their heads in confusion. "Oh? What did he do?" asked Riley. "What could he have done?" 'Did he blow a bubble around someone's house and send it flying up into space? And then did it pop, sending a house plummeting down to the ground?' mused Reece.

Reece Blythe @, "Thanks!" Reece called after Storm. He looked back to Nimble and the bubblegum. "I've been practicing," said Reece. He placed some gum into his mouth, chewed it a good bit, then blew, which produced a bubble nearly the size of his head before it popped. He bundled the used gum up. "Pretty cool, huh?" said Reece. Riley Blythe @, "Be right back, man. Gotta check on Reece," said Riley, and trotted off. He approached the two young colts. "Everything alright, fellas?" he asked. "Sure!" said Reece. "Hey, big bro, why don't you show us how good you can blow bubblegum?" Riley nodded and grabbed some wads of gum from the table, and inserted them into his mouth. He blew a bubble that only grew bigger and bigger until it enveloped Riley, who floated around in the bubble, now not connected to a mouth.

@, Pinkie nodded. "Absolutely right." She looked up at the clouds in the night sky, then back at her new coltfriend Storm Shine. "Anyway, will you be getting started on putting together that cloud staircase?" she asked. "I can't wait to test out these cloud-walking hooves!"

Reece Blythe @, Being around somepony his own age was helping Reece to come out of his shell a bit, and Nimble seemed like a good potential friend. "Wanna judge me on how big a bubble I can blow with a wad of bubblegum?" asked Reece. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a gumball. He unwrapped it, and was just about to insert it into his mouth when he dropped it, and it rolled into a nearby mousehole.

@, "I sure will try not to," said Pinkie Pie, grateful that Storm had not lashed out at her in defense of his brother. "That's another trait about you I like," she went on. "You're so understanding, and you look for the potential reasons behind a pony's behaviour."

Reece Blythe @, 'They know... well, I guess it's safe for me to talk about Riley and Anala.' "Yeah, they hung out a lot when we were kids. I would tease them by referring to Anala as Riley's girlfriend when talking with him, and to Riley as Anala's boyfriend when talking with Anala." "I'm pretty sure Riley likes Anala because she saved him from a bully who was trying to take his lunch money," he went on. "He repaid her by letting her cut in front of him in the lunch line that day. And for Riley, that's a lot, considering what a large appetite he has."

@, 'Darnit, Pinkie! Off you go, looking insensitive again! You're no better than that mean comedian who visited Ponyville once!' "I-I know Nimble isn't a freak," said Pinkie Pie, hoping Storm wasn't upset with her. "I just... look, I should have thought of a better term before I blurted out 'freak of nature'. I would never laugh at somepony's misfortune. Even though you two seem to take it in stride..."

Reece Blythe @, Reece was fairly sure he heard Nimble mutter something out, but chose to disregard it. "I sure hope Riley hooks up with a marefriend," said Reece. He knew perfectly well who Riley had eyes for, and supported his big brother, hoping that Riley and Anala came to be one. What neither of the two brothers knew, however, was that Anala was hiding something...

@, "I see," replied Pinkie Pie, nodding. "That's an even bigger freak of nature than that time an entire cake disappeared from the windowsill after it had been left out to cool!" she went on, clearly enjoying the conversation. "And Rainbow Dash magically had frosting all over her face!"

Riley Blythe @, "Great!" said Riley, clearly happy to have a gaming partner, though Blue and Reece would have to take it in turns, since the console only supported a maximum of two players. "Any time you wanna come over is fine. You can come with me and my little brother Reece on the train back to Manehattan! Sound good?" he asked with a smile.

Reece Blythe @, "That sounds like my family," commented Reece. "My mom is sweet and cheery, but my dad is gruff and sarcastic... and the way you just described your big bro Storm Shine is probably more or less the way I'd describe my big bro Riley if you put me up to it."

I'm writing a fic for a friend of mine. The current situation is that the starring OC is now shrunken down to a centimetre tall, and trapped in Fluttershy's salad bowl as Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy have a meal together at a cafe: ~~~ "Fluttershy, there's really no need to act like one of those Canterlot snobs," said Rainbow. "But anyway, how are things going for you and your animal friends?" she went on. Just then, Fluttershy's giant fork stabbed a leaf a few centimetres away from Rising, who let out a pitiful squeak of surprise and hid under a bunch of leaves. "They're okay, as per usual," said Fluttershy. "But I have to be careful of the small ones. Because of how tiny they are, there are so many things that could happen to them. They could get crushed..." The enormous fork was brought down to Rising, who rolled out of the way in the nick of time. "Or eaten..." Rising cringed as he heard Fluttershy's mouthful of salad go *crunch* in her mouth. "Even though I keep the tiny, vulnerable creatures in enclosed areas, I still worry about them. Who knows? Maybe somehow, one of them is fighting for their life as we speak!" ~~~ I know that this is irony, something which I hope I can come up with more of, but what type specifically?

@@FortyTwo42, Aero put a hoof to his chin as he inspected the menu quickly again. 'I sure hope I'm not this indecisive if Celestia ever entrusts me with deciding the best course of action when Equestria is in danger...' "I'll just go for a salad. It's not like I'm starving," he said. "And you?" he asked, smiling.

@@FortyTwo42, Aero Wind was just about to pick any random salad from the Salad section of the menu, when he heard Shadowhide's voice place an order at the counter. He looked up from the menu to greet her. "Shadowhide! Fancy seeing you here," he called over to her. "Why don't you take a seat?"

OOC @@FortyTwo42, 'I wonder what adventures Shadowhide has gotten herself into recently...' Aero Wind mused to himself as he perched his fuzzy rear on a cafe chair. He picked up the menu and surveyed it. To be honest, he wasn't really sure of what to pick. Each option of food had the ability to satisfy his hunger... but he wasn't sure what to pick. 'Shadowhide would know what she wanted; she's an expert at mystery-solving,' he thought with a smile.

@@PathfinderCS, Riley scanned the ground for a few seconds before taking two conveniently-placed smooth rocks and holding one in each hoof. "What do you man by 'nurture'?" he asked. When he thought of the word 'nurture', he thought of his colt self being hugged by his parents, or him hugging his little brother. But hugging fire?

@, Riley ruminated over the mare's question. "In the corridor next to this one, there should be numbers in multiples of ten going along the walls. That means you'll want to look somewhere between 50 and 60," he finished with a smile. 'I wonder if she can help me with learning spells?'

Riley Blythe @, "Cool!" said Riley. "Wanna come over to my place some time? We can play the Super Neightendo together!" Anala Elderberry @, 'First she calls me 'hotstuff', now she's wrapping her tail nearly around my butt... what is she...' Anala wasn't even one for the advances of stallions, but... other mares? She wasn't against the concept, she just didn't do it. "Um, no thank you," replied Anala, for lack of anything better to say. 'I'd better be careful ow much cider I drink...'

Riley and Anala @@Gloomfury, Anala pulled Riley away, picked his new cigar and chucked it out of the window, and gave him a good punch in the face. "YOU! IDIOT!" she screamed. "That guy is part of organised crime! You just helped him out with whatever filthy deeds he's got planned!" "I didn't know..." was all that Riley knew to say.

Riley Blythe @, "Riley Blythe," the red Pegasus introduced himself, shaking the blue stallion's hoof. "Anyway, like I said, interested in video games?" He held up his Neightendo GameColt. Anala Elderberry @, "Anala Elderberry," the archer mare introduced herself.

Anala Elderberry Anala took a gulp of her cider. The taste of apples was still lingering in her mouth long afterwards. 'Mmm... I gotta spy on Applejack and her family and see how they make it so good,' she mused. She was joking, though. @, For lack of anything better to do, she stood beside another mare with cider.

@, Reece Blythe "I see," said Reece. "I remember being jealous once. See, I've always looked up to my big bro Riley, and wanted to be just like him. But I quickly realised that because I'm an Earth Pony, I'll never be able to fly like can because he's a Pegasus." "That made me sad, but he gave me a talking-to, saying that I shouldn't try to emulate somepony else, not even my sibling, and that he thinks I can be my own great pony someday." Riley Blythe Riley approached Vinyl. "Hey there, Vinny! What tunes have you got planned?" he asked. He then slipped on his Vinyl Scratch t-shirt.

@, "Your little brother has a fox tail?" restated Pinkie Pie. She had never actually met Nimble Flight, only heard about him from Storm Shine. "How did he get that?" she asked in confusion. She wasn't going to make a quip about Storm's parents being half-rabbit.

Riley Blythe @@Blue, Riley noticed the cutie mark of the blue pony. A video game controller. And a crown. "So... like video games, huh?" he commented. Reece Blythe @, "Hello," Reece said to Nimble, for lack of anything better to say. He then noticed the most glaring feature of this colt. "Your fox tail is cool," he said. "But how did you get it? Or is it just an accessory?"
