I'm a closet brony unless someone asks me if I am a brony. You can't say that you aren't and then get caught later. It won't help your situation.

Actually keeping it away from her and having her find out, makes it look like you're ashamed for it. So she would think that it's just something worse then it is. I would rather just have a moment were I would just watch an episode and ask her how she liked it and then tell her that I do. A girl that won't accept you for liking a show isn't really worth your time. Though I would understand their concerns though.

Then she obviously wouldn't be a good girlfriend if she can't accept that you like something. :/
