  1. Saigo stopped in his tracks, not moving an inch, flinching, nor even the slightest emotion. His head still rested on his face like a half asleep student. "Normally I would of taken this as a attempt for my life, however, judging by your hesitation to attack I'm guessing that this may be some sort of incredibly I'll-mannered test of my abilities. That's something I can accept." He said as he moved his hand over towards Isamu to halt him from interfering. "Now then, give me your best shot, but keep in mind once your sword moves and Inch I will be in the right to attack back." He explained.
  2. Rinsame Sakana
  3. "Apparently so, the ones who didn't show will indeed have to be punished for not showing up." He said with a sigh. "However, I came prepared for something like this to happen, after all, it is a mission with a high chance of death." He rambled on as he snapped his fingered. His vulture, who had been sitting perched up in the tree they were by then took flight towards the castle. "We should be ready to leave very soon." He finished as he looked over to Isamu. "Indeed it has been. I trust that you've been enjoying yourself lately."
  4. Akira's first question was the first thing to get anything close to a slight reaction out of him, and from the looks of it, it almost seemed like grief. However it quickly vanished from his face "I used to train with someone who had hawk-like eyesight. I suppose it even rubbed off on me a bit." He explained. "Why we need a tactician? Well for tactics I'd guess myself. However the main reason is that a varied group will always best a redundant one. I made some of my choices to compliment the groups abilities, I have speed and strength, he has range and smarts, and you have magic and power." He finished.
  5. Saigo thought for a moment. "So far we're not sure whether they know or don't know about the Taniaku. However if they do, I'm sure we will be up against the best they have to offer also." He explained as he looked past the hill the Sakura tree was on, noticing Isamu out in the distance making his way towards the meeting area. "Doesn't look like we'll be alone for much longer. Our tactician is here." He added.
  6. "Well it would appear that your skills are above average from what the reports say. And seeing I'm putting together a squad of the best warriors in Zetsumei, I need people like you." He explained as he waited for the rest of the group, growing more impatient by the second. (I'm pretty sick right now, so posting will probably be minimal on my part.)
  7. Saigo simply nodded. "Indeed I am. It's a pleasure to meet you too." He said as he thought for a moment. "I figured I'd take questions after we're all here. But I suppose two can't hurt." He commented. "My thoughts on them is that they are critical to a side winning this war. After all I do have experience with them myself." He said as he twirled his hand with the ring around, before resting his head back on it. "The goal here is to collect as many of these Taniaku and then conquer the two nations with them." He said almost nonchalantly.
  8. "An early start is better than a late one, I'll commend you for your speed so far. Hopefully we don't have anyone who is tardy, or I might have to punish them." Saigo said learning up against the Sakura tree from his mat. He pulled out his Sake bottle and took a sip, before corking it back up and placing at his side again and rested his head on his right hand, his ring clearly visible as he did so. "Akira Sakurai, I presume?" He simply asked with his calm, almost soothing voice after his drink. However behind his calm voice, was a hint of absolute cruelty, fury, impatience, and spite.
  9. It seemed to be just another day passing by in Zetsumei, however deep in the main castle perched up on top the biggest hill in the lands events that might just shake the foundation of Shakuku itself were about to unfold. Saigo sat on a tatami mat in the back of the room resting, stroking a white cat that sat on his lap. His room itself was rather uncomfortable looking for anyone else but himself, but he almost found it relaxing. There were at least a hundred different weapons hung from the wall all around the room, almost all of them taken as trophies in battle or duels. In the middle of his lair, right above him were the weapons that he would consider his prized possessions, His katana, his odachi, his tanto, and his three kunai. The room itself was colored all white with black tinted screens. Red painted markings were all around the room too. Lastly there was a door in the corner of the room that probably led to his sleeping quarters. Saigo was almost about to fall asleep, but just as his eyes closed, he heard a voice from outside his screen door. "Lord Fuzen, requesting permission to enter." The voice said, to him it was clearly recognized as the Emperors personally messenger. Saigo opened his eyes, now clearly more awake. "Proceed." He replied calmly right before he heard his screen door slide open. "I presume that the Emperor requests my presence?" He asked. The man merely nodded. "He didn't even tell me what it was, it must be very important." He replied. "I see.... you are dismissed. I'll make my way there now. I'd hate to keep someone waiting." He said as he got up, placing his cat down on his mat as he left the room, taking his katana with him. The way to the emperors quarters was rather scenic. The colors of the palace were clearly mostly based around red and black. Many ornate sculptures were placed in the rooms he passed through on his path to the throne room. He saw many soldiers still working hard for their nation in the larger training rooms he passed by, all of them immediately bowing in respect as they saw him. After his casual stroll through the palace he finally reached his destination. The entrance to the room had two large ornate sliding doors with red sculpted dragons entangled holding them together like a seal. He slid the two doors apart and entered the room, noticing the emperor immediately, he bowed before continuing. Kurai was sitting on a mat, a small table in front of him, with another seat on the opposite side. He even had tea prepared for the meeting. "Please, sit, and the tea isn't going to drink itself." Kurai commented with a slight grin to break the silence. Saigo of course obeyed, sitting down, picking up his cup of tea and taking a sip as he waited for an explanation to why he was interrupted. "The tea is excellent, my lord." He commented. But what the emperor said next definitely made it worth his time for leaving his room. "The recon teams in Tani have finally returned, and this time with good news. We now know what your ring is, and more. After interrogation, some the Onijin elders explained it to be an item blessed by gods themselves that grant magical powers or abilities to the user called Taniaku by the Onijin culture." He explained. "The second piece of good news is that they are scattered all over Tani. This is the main reason I've called you here. These items are the most important thing that have ever surfaced in our campaign against Tani and Narumi. An all out war against my brother and the Tani will probably lead to either a draw or a loss, but if we can gain the upper hand with these, we could crush them with raw power much like when we took over Edo's castle here." He finished. It took a few moments for Saigo to take in all the information. He definitely liked the idea of destroying Narumi more than anything. "I see... so what place do I play in this plan, my lord?" He asked curiously. "Saigo, my general, you will lead a task force of our greatest warriors in the Tani territory to collect as many of these as possible. I hope my brother hasn't gotten this information yet, but if you see Narumi troops, dispose of them immediately. If we send our whole army in there, it will likely start the pointless bloodbath we hope to avoid. I trust you can muster up a force to accomplish this task?" He asked as he ended his speech. Saigo finished his tea and rose from his seat. "It will be done at once, my lord. I will not let you down." He said as he bowed and then turned for the exit of the room. The Emperor simply nodded as he left. "You haven't let me down yet. But this will be the most important task I've ever given to you. It is critical to our success in this war." Saigo made his way over to the main record room, going through document after document of every soldier in the army before he made his final decision. He wrote out letters to each of his candidates for his squad and then walked outside. He saw his vulture circling the air over the castle and called him down with a whistle. Giving him the summoning letters explaining the basics of what was happening and instructing his messenger bird to drop them off by the soldiers. He then walked back to his quarters, putting all of his gear and weapons on and walking over to the meeting place inscribed on the letters. It was outside by a Sakura tree. He sat on a mat with other seats across from him to house the rest of the members.
  10. Sick post bro. Nice post. 100% beast mode. Welcome to the forms. Hope you enjoy your stay.
  11. Saigo Fuzen
  12. Hypno watched the two leave with a curious look. "Something is odd about that mare... however I'm sure well all find out sooner or later." He thought as he put his hooves over his ears to plug them after hearing Phee's last words before leaving the house. He still would grant her wish, even if he did want to hear the conversation.
  13. Hypno walked into the dining room, sitting down next to Lost. "Looks like I'm just about as late as you." He chuckled out quietly to him as he leaned back in his seat. He just wished he wouldn't of gotten carried away in that book so close to an important event. He looked over to the rest and waited for stuff to happen.
  14. Hypno looked over to Bardic, thinking for a few moments before breaking the silence with a simple. "I believe you." before continuing. "The best explanation to me would be: If the speculations of the Windigoes being back are true, and a war were to break out between us here and Saddle Arabia, a very large area of land would get very cold very fast." He said with a chuckle as he leaned up to Bardic's ear and whispered quietly but audibly for the rest. "If anything, I wouldn't be surprised if the Windigoes themselves took the princesses instead for that reason right there." Before he leaned back and shrugged. "Either way, that's just what I'd think." Afterwards Hypno looked over to where Loveless left. "It seems they probably have rooms for us, so I'm gonna go try to settle down for a bit after that train ride." He said as he started off down the hallway and found the room. He sat down and pulled out a book to pass the time for now.
  15. Hypno, not knowing much about the chaos that was already unfolding simply shimmied along towards where Runedawn was. He was at least the only member he was able to speak too so far, and also shared his own current confused state. "Didn't even make it two minutes in before accusations were thrown. Seems to be all the government has been doing recently." He thought to himself as he took the time to look around the throne room as he listened.
  16. Hypno walked off the train and with the group, examining all of the characters by him. Especially The Mare that seemed to be somewhat of a leader for now. He listened silently but after what he's seen in the papers he caught up with on the train ride here. He didn't really trust the girl. She almost seemed too kind. He shrugged it off for now and waited for the journey to start.
  17. "I had to retire sooner or later I suppose." He chuckled "I suppose you dodged a bullet there then, eh?" He commented as he waited for the train to start. "However that is quite a shame about your friends. I can say I've lost quite a few myself also." He added with a sigh. "However, I think that's enough talk about such a dark topic for today wouldn't you agree?" He asked.
  18. "I'd like to say I know what the eyes mean, by I haven't figured that out myself." He chuckled. "However, the point where I actually used the technique has long since passed." He said, somewhat lying. "It was much more for the guards who came back with a damaged psyche from what they've seen on duty. They'd be sent to me if all other doctors fail. Their damaged mind makes it much more malleable to my control. And I would rehabilitate them till they can return to their post. Eventually I ended up being posted myself at Canterlot Castle itself as a servant and to carry out my job there, so they didn't have to make a trip all the way down to the Shades. It's probably the reason they sent me the letter." He explained. "You however, after my lost touch, and the fact you don't seem to have any visible problems to me. Would be near impossible for me to control." (Had to go eat, back now.)
  19. Hypno leaned back in his seat, getting comfortable for the long trip. "Well, the Hallow Shades themselves are the home of the Bat Ponies, Luna's guard. It's a town that's mostly covered by trees and vegatation, blocks out the sun most of the time, making it nice and dark. At the time however, I didn't make the cut for the guard. So I ended up just being a psychiatrist, I can't say it's too boring though. And the mark came rather late in my life, not too long after I got the job. I was rather good at.... lets just say 'hypnotizing' the patients." He explained, his mind going blank from talking about so many subjects at once. "Though it's been a long time since I've had that job. The eyes I have make it rather hard to be out in public too much. I got them In what could be called a magical spell gone awry."
  20. "Why couldn't it of been a mare. Or at least somepony a bit smaller. Then again I suppose most would be scared to sit next to me." He thought to himself before he replied. "So you got a summon too, eh? I suppose we might end up working together then." He said as he extended his hoof out for a shake. "Except for the eyes, this look would be pretty normal if you too grew up in the Hallow Shades. Names Hypno, pleased to me ya." He said as he tipped his hat.
  21. Hypno wandered around Ponyville for a while in his unfamiliar settings before he finally found what he was looking for, the train station. He never figured such a simple task would be so hard, but after so much time away from cities and civilization, finding his way around started becoming a much harder task. He sighed and pulled out the letter he had gotten and re-read it. He had arrived just in the nick of time before he missed the train. How the letter reached his house out in the woods confused him to no end, the fact they were able to get a letter to him in the first place was enough to get him interested on the meeting in the first place. He put on a pair of sunglasses to cover his eyes and boarded the train, with his hat and coat, they gave him a rather militaristic look. He sat down in his seat in a row that was still empty, he just hoped that the venture would start before anyone sits next to him. "I suppose it is a long time since I've seen royalty, might be good to see some politics or something again." He whispered to himself.
  22. http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/hypno-r837 Boop. I've come to take your Servant role. Minnesota is cold. Very cold.
  23. "Rebels are rather annoying sometimes." He commented. "I'd be surprised if the Sparkle girl had done it by herself for such a reason. However if someone was controlling her or helping her, that wouldn't be so absurd. Though that's just my take on it." He finished as he put away his flask. "Anything else I've missed in my absence? Whatever happened to Ice Star and his friends? Including Snow." He asked.
  24. Hypno nodded to Carrick, taking another sip. "Fair enough... hopefully I don't get tipsy by then... I wonder if I even could?" He said, talking more to himself at the end as the sat in thought. He was surprised he didn't already know. But then again he had only recently started the blood-cocktails. "What do you mean by Rebels though?" he asked after a few moments.
  25. Hypno pulled out his flask, giving a chuckle. "Nothing ever seems to be a small problem anymore, honestly." He said as he took a sip. "Though I'm getting a bit tired of waiting around. All I've been doing before I came here is waiting around in a cabin." He said with a shrug as he thought back.
