    What a difference forty years makes. Today, not as batters care about striking out. Forty years ago, striking out was the ultimate embarrassment. (One time, Lou Brock sat out the last game of the season because he had 99 strikeouts that year and DIDN'T want to cross the "100 K" plateau. LOL!)
