  1. Cultural appropriation is a VERY real societal problem. For example, the Native-American community has a long history of having their culture being treated as a costume (i.e., the headdress). To say cultural appropriation never existed is a bold-faced lie.

      My opinion: Let the people who are apparently "Culturally Appropriating" be. Educating them about the origin of a commodity or other material, that has a cultural value elsewhere, is a great thing, but to demand respect from them is not something that should be taken for granted.

      They have the right to appropriate the culture, but the people who take their culture seriously have a right to feel offended, tell them they're offended, and explain why. If they're too ignorant to listen, that's their loss.
