If you're gonna write an attack-the-critics story, you better know what you doing. People, especially reviewers, don't appreciate it when a product inflates their own ego. Screw up, and those critics will have a much bigger — and louder — megaphone to yell into.
Every TTG attack-the-critic episode isn't good at all, because they don't understand what people are complaining about. Return of Slade the worst example.
The movie Lady in the Water's biggest drawback was its usage of a straw critic so Shyamalan can inflate his own ego and attack the critics.
F&M can't even get its most basic story straight, reeks of hypocrisy, and sacrifices continuity, tone, and appreciation for children to bash the critics.
