One negative comment on Episode 17:
SpoilerTwilight was completely oblivious to the RM4's nervousness and attempts to shield her away from all the chaos outside. Yeah, it's in character of her, and has been done before (i.e., checking on Pinkie in Pinkie Pride), but no less contrived.
However, don't take that into me thinking it's not great now; that'd be completely overblowing everything. The RM4's reasoning makes sense. And it's all still a fantastic outing so far. One more act to go!

SpoilerGood catch regarding the cutie mark not disappearing. I don’t know if he drained only some of their life force and not all of it (so no one suspects it’s him) or he did and it was just a plot hole.
However, I think it makes more sense for Tirek to bulk up quicker than before. In Beginning of the End, Grogar gave him some of his own magic to transform him out of his frail state, so he’s stronger and more nimble now. Chrysalis’s magic back in Frenemies gave him a lot of strength too, and it was just enough for him to open Gusty’s old seal.
