Holy cow.

On one hand, Louie has a point. Della took off in a rocket that was never tested while her sons were still in their eggs. All for what? To retrieve a star? Della’s decision was hair-brained, stupid, cost her and her sons ten years apart, and then some. Had she not do this, neither he nor Donald would’ve drifted apart, and they would’ve had a mother since their hatching.

On the other, goddamn, was that the cruelest line in not only season 2, but the entire reboot. Scrooge telling Webby she was not family was heartless, but told in the heat of the moment. Here, this line implicates he doesn’t trust her or believe in her and thought of this since they reunited. Della had only returned recently, and he revived ten years of horrific memories to her face. He 221% deserved to be grounded!
