Fire Lily

Lily was getting fairly lost herself when suddenly she felt somepony bump into her and she almost fell on her face but managed to catch herself at the last moment. "Umm...I think so." She said hesitantly and walked backwards a few steps so she was walking close next to him this time.

"Well if you're sure you don't need sleep, and I'd love that if you wouldn't mind, and are ok about the door for a few more minutes." Lily stared at Steel for a few more seconds, only partially trying to make sure he wasn't bleeding anymore and started walking out the door waiting for Steel to follow her.

Dusk softly closed the door to her small apartment in Ponyville and stepped out into the busy streets. It was still earlier in the evening than she liked, with little foals having gotten out of school not long before. But something drew her out earlier than usual today though she couldn't quite place her hoof on what or why. As she walked along the busy streets she started to get lost in her own thoughts. It had been a long time since she lasted dated anyone and he most certainly was not the one anyway. She looked breifly down at her hooves "Why are you wearing that jacket? It's so nice out." was painted barely visable on one of them. She shook her head and mumbled to herself "Now why in Equestria would anyone choose that for me, as soon as they figured out I'm part bat they wouldn't like me anymore anyway." She wandered about a little longer, stopping in various stores for only a few minutes at a time before stopping for a bit to try to relax on a bench at the park.

Lily gave Steel a concerned smile "You're welcome, but I still think you should take it easy on that hoof, if not for the others than at least for me. It'll make less work I mean." Lily looked away with a small blush. I suppose we should get to bed then, it's going to be a long day tomorrow.

Lily heard the other two walking past and thought about saying something to them but decided against it, she figured Steel didn't want them asking questions and she wasn't too sure she did either. Lily finished wrapping the bandage around Stee's hoof and stepped back staring at his scars and shyly touching the long one "Well I guess that means you won then?" she said jokingly. "I'd try to go easy on that hoof when we're not aroud the others if I were you,wouldn't want to make it worse"

@@Randimaxis, "I don't know, I'm just a filly with weird color wings and no idea of what my cutie mark might ever be. We could have a tea party back at home if mom says yes, I'm sure she will though, I mean you are the best big brother ever after all! How could she say no? I think we're getting closer to Ponyville so we shouldn't even have to wait very long!" Angel watched the snake slither off. "aww, I was sure that was it." She looked around a little bit more and flew up into a nearby tree and came back with a green bird that she was sure Dax could've seen. "Is this it?" She asked while slowly putting it on the ground in front of him so it doesn't fly away.

"Well at least I could stop you from getting blood all over the place, the mayor might come back someday you know." Lily managed a small smile as she took his hoof in hers and slowly started wrapping a bandage around it being careful not to hurt him more. "So if you don't mind me asking this, where did you get some of those scars?" She asked while making sure the bandage was nice and tight so it wouldn't fall off in battle or in the wind.

@@Randimaxis, Angel looked back at her wings and kept them fluffed up. "Well it's just the color, they can't do anything cool like make rainbows or anything, mom say's that dad's were the same way and everything, except I think he was black and not yellow like me." "I'm sure your brother will be back soon, when he is you can have all sorts of fun together, I wish I had brothers or sisters, I mean I do now, but still, I don't think you'd like to play dress up or tea parties or anything like that either." Angel opened her mouth for a second to answer and stopped and thought about it for a long minute. Suddenly she flew off into the forrest and came back with a long snake. "Is it one of these?" She asked while she put it down and stared at Dax.

@@Randimaxis, "Well different can be ok sometimes, right?" Angel said while fluffing out her wings showing off the red tips, no other pony she had ever seen had wings like hers, she was teased for it sometimes but it made her stand out and she liked that. "Og..levy..?" Angel struggled with the name for a second. "Is that one of your other brothers too?" She looked at him for a moment "Besides you said to just look at the stars and we won't be alone, so he'll come back someday." She let out a small giggle "nope not grass and definitely not a turkey" She got off of him and hovered around for a few seconds pointing off in the distance quite a ways "You see that small pond over there. Well it's a frog! You're turn."

@@Randimaxis, "Well you're my new brother why would I be hitting you or yelling at you?" Angel asked curiously. As far as she knew family didn't act that way, at least not from what she'd seen and her mom never did that to her anyway. "Who's Harcourt? I've never heard of him, then again most ponies don't want to hang out with me, mostly they just think I'm too noisy and annoying. At least that's what I've heard them say when they didn't know I was there anyway." Angel jumped down again off of Dax's back. "Well we could play tag, or hide and seek, I'm really good at that one, or all sorts of other stuff, I'm not sure about any of those until we're back in ponyville, we could play i spy though!" Angel started jumping around on both sides of Dax then quickly jumped back on his back. "I spy with my little eye something...green."

Lily walked in and stared at Steel's scars for a few moments, she wanted to ask if he was ok again but she decided not to risk upsetting him, they were supposed to be fighting a monster, not themselves. Lily looked up in his eyes again "are you sure you don't want me to help you with it? it seem's pretty deep".

Lily looked at it for a few moments then let his hoof go. "Well if you're absolutely sure you'll be all right, if not at the very least you can be bait while the rest of get away." She said very jokingly with a small wink. "I can go look real quick I think I saw a small first aid kit, not worth taking with us probably but it should help fix your hoof at least." Lily quietly walked back to her room so she didn't wake up the others and took off her armor since there wasn't anything attacking. She went into her bathroom and dug around a bit pulling out a small first aid kid that didn't hold very much and brought it back to the bathroom Steel was in.

Lily stared at Steel for a long moment. "Well if you say so, you don't seem too hurt at least, will you still be able to help us later though, you're kind of stuck here for a while with that avelanche and all but still.." She said while staring at the ground, "I might have some bandages in my room if you don't find any in here. I should probably take a look at that hoof though first. She walked over to him, her armor barely making any noise and slowly took his hoof and turned it over, seeing that it was pretty deep but not too long of a cut.

Lily let out a small sigh when she saw Steel, she wasn't sure if that was good news or not yet, especially since he looked hurt and with the monster out there...or in here she thought nerviously, she slowly walked down the hall to the bathroom and knocked on the door with an armored hoof. "Steel? Are you ok? The monster didn't get in did it?"

Lily rolled over once in her sleep, she was usually a pretty heavy sleeper but her being distracted kept her from sleeping right. As she was rolling over she thought she heard a noise comming up the stairs. She put it on the wind and closed her eyes when she heard the dull thud of something walking up the stairs again. Lily quitely put on her armor hoping whatever it was wouldn't hear in case the monster got in then very slowly opened the door and stepped into the dark hallway and stopped for a moment to let her eyes adjust.

Lily threw her coat on the nearest chair and climbed into bed herself, throwing the warm blanket on top of her and curling up to help fight the cold, it wasn't too bad in the house but the blizard outside wasn't helping anything. She rolled over restlessly a few times, trying to get the image of Steel out of her head as she fell asleep hoping he'd be alright.

Lily stared at him for a very long moment. "Well if you're sure you'll be ok all alone down here, If something happens let us know." She relecutantly pulled her stare away and headed upstairs to the master bedroom. It was spacious and had at least an alicorn sized bed with it's own private bath. "I could get used to this." Lily said while throwing her bags on the bed and unpacking.

"You don't need sleep? That's...strange." Lily said while staring at Steel with a very untrusting stare. "Looks like those two are getting along well enough so...I call my own bed!" Lily shouted as she grabbed the rest of her stuff and actually flew up the stairs to what looked like the master bedroom at the end of the hall.

"Yeah you're right those games don't sound very fun, but at least you have brothers so you should be better at the being a brother thing than I would be. I don't think I'd make a very good brother." Angel said with a small laugh herself. "The sparkly vamponies are something I heard some of the older girls talk about in school, they said I wasn't old enough to know about it yet, sounded scary though, vamponies and wereponies, I had nightmares for a week at least. Mom says I'm not allowed to hang out with them anymore though." Angel bounced herself on top of Dax again and refused to get off this time. "So big brother" she said playfully poking the back of his head "what are we gonna do until we get back home?"

"I thought it didn't like the snow, I guess I was wrong." Lily shivered slightly and threw her coat back over her shoulders without actually putting it all the way back on. "I suppose I should do this then to." She walked over to the front door and threw down the large bar that was behind it, firmly locking it in place. "Definitely not going out there now, just the storm is bad enough but a monster on top of it is just asking for something bad to happen.

"Nuh huh" Angel said while looking down. "I'm an only filly, a brother does sound nice though." Angel suddenly perked up looking a lot happier than what she did a few moments ago and a lot more like she did when they were at Blitz's. "What do big brothers do with their sisters?" She asked while jumping on Dax's back. "Play games? Sing songs? Tell scary stories about the vampony that sparkles instead of exploding in the sunlight?" She jumps off again and hovers next to him for a few steps before landing back on the ground trotting faster. "Just wait until mom hears about this, you aren't gonna live with us or anything like that probably, but still a big brother all to myself." She bounces over and gives Dax a quick hug on the leg before continuing walking.

Lily threw her coat down on the couch ignoring the possibility of someone sleeping there shortly. "Well I guess we're stuck here for a while, I'm not sure that even I'd want to go out in that, at least as long as we have supplies anyway. There seems to be food in the kitchen and fuel for a fire so we don't seem to be in any immediate danger someone isn't telling us." She looked around the room at everypony trying to avoid the subject of the basement.
