  1. @Pinkie Pony, you pose a really interesting question and @speedyblupi did a great job at applying real world physics to this experiment. Since this is Pony related, yet has an IRL focus all the same, we decided that Sugarcube Corner would be a good fit for it. Normally show items go in Show Discussion, but that concept of real life application really added a nice wrinkle. Good job. :)

  2. Just wondering whether there is ever going to be an app for MLPForums. Don't really know the hassle of getting an app onto the market but I'm just wondering if anyone had ever considered it. Me personally might not use it but I know people probably will. Just wondering that's all.

Thunderlane, a mobile app would be a wonderful project, but it would be an extraordinary effort to get completed. It most certainly isn't off the table, but our first focus would be to improve upon the awful IPB mobile skin. If we had an acceptable mobile user experience, it may mitigate the need for an app.

I'll also move this over to Feedback as well.

  3. but if it's at all possible to purchase the series I would encourage them to do so anyway.

Agreed 100% on that as well. (we are bumping into each other in quick succession).

In fact, I believe digital rights purchases are the only way to own them in HD, which is where my dollars will go if there is no convenient streaming alternative like Netflix. Though it remains to be seen if that is a done deal.

Watching it on netflix is buying it.  Netflix membership costs money.

I believe the OP's point was the argument that if/when it leaves Netflix ... buy the show in another format.

  4. While I am against piracy, I can answer your question as to why. Region difference can impact the purchase viability for some. Not every member on MLPF is in North America. Some members simply cannot get Season 4 on a medium suitable for the home country with any measure of convenience. It isn't always lack of funds that pushes piracy, it's the lack of convenience.

  5. For future reference it's good to keep in mind that all opened tags of any sort should be closed. Even if technically speaking a tag doesn't have to be explicitly closed to be in use it's better for consistency and brevity to close it anyway. As soon as you open a tag it might help to add a closing tag after it and then put whatever needs to go inside between the two so you don't forget to do it later.

Agreed, and to add to that , once you are finished with CodeAcademy you may want to download at least the free version of Sublime Text as it has code completion and will auto close your HTML tags for you. :)

  6. Thank you for your feedback. Please feel free to submit a Support Ticket if you have specific concerns that cannot be discussed openly due to privacy. As this thread is framed in a manner that can be taken as community chastisement, it is not conducive to a constructive dialog with Forum Staff. For the record, being a douche is most certainly against the rules.

It is always best to bypass the tribalism and not focus on the individual duruing discourse. The easiest way to do that is to distinguish the views of the individual from the individual.

    Locking the thread.

  7. I'm just including the big, main villains in the poll for now. Vote, and explain your reasoning in the comments below!

I went ahead and moved the thread to Show Discussion. Even though it is a hypothetical discussion on a political campaign for office, the best place for it would be where we hold discussion on the show and the characters. :)

And Discord got my vote, because tomfoolery and shenanigans is what pubic service is all about.

  8. Do you think it would be a good idea for IDW to make MLP graphic novels? Their stories could be bigger in scope than the comics.

Yes I would be all for a graphic novel approach to story telling!

And to the other comments, there is a difference between the two that is similar to a novel and a serial. Smile and Drama are GN's, but Walking Dead volume 1 is a collection of several issues that contain an arc (or several arcs).

When ploting a story in a multi issue comic, pacince is set differently. When you have stricter pacing requirement you are unable take your time in various stages of structure.
