It's not-exactly 2020, and welcome to the Reiwa era! ...Well, for Kamen Rider at least. (It's complicated for Sentai.) And what a way to start. Zero-One's simplistic and highlighter-green design is a real love letter to the simple design of the original Kamen Rider from the 70's. However, he is also trying to fix relations between humans and robots known as HumaGears, therefore telling a story for modern audiences. (By ironic coincidence, this show premiered just before Generative AI took the world by storm.) Kiramager has a strenuous connect to mages at best, but has everything to do with living gems from a parallel reality. A strong imagination is what makes miraculous things happen here! (Last time Imagination was a motif, we got ToQGer!) Only Kamen Rider Zero-One has received an official release internationally (minus the many other additional movies and extras).
