And now, the results of Tuesday's game!
What was the answer?!Fame And Misfortune.
Let’s check the PDM Leaderboard:
- @Rising Dusk - 356,013
- @Silly Druid - 251,210
And I'm going to end this round early. There has been a lack of participation, so I don't feel like dragging it out even further. Hmm... I WAS going to give the win to someone who hasn't won yet (because PDM = Points Don't Matter), but the only ones who participated this time are both previous winners; and I'd hate to not reward all the effort they put in. So, I guess the best thing to do is clear. The winner is...
IT'S A TIE BETWEEN @Rising Dusk & @Silly Druid!
Well done, my friends. Accept this reward that I slapped together in 5 minutes~!
Spoiler
I have no idea if I'll be doing a weekly game anymore. I need to reconsider if it's worth it or not. But for those who participated in this and previous games, I hope you all had fun, and thank you for participating.
Take care, my crowd.

Thank you both for everything.
Perhaps one or more of my games would be good in the Forum Games section of the forum. However, I did this on my profile thinking it might attract more people to stop by, have fun, and maybe follow me. ... After doing this for a few years, I think I got one new follower. So~ That's a win, right?

For Rem's sake, DO NOT restart! I don't wanna miss this!
Happy Birthday, my absolute friend! Hope it's everything you want it to be.

Hi there, my crowd. Kuidas sul läheb?
I am so happy right now. I got a new USB wifi adaptor and some software to go with it, and now I am enjoying the internet at FAR faster speeds. This is how it should have been from the beginning.
Also, I got my Ultraseven X bluray set! Walmart was convinced I'd get them at different times, but I got them on the same day. I knew all along.
Totally getting my tokusatsu from them from now on, if I can help it.
Anyone know anything about heal spurs? Asking for a family member.
Take care, my crowd.

Do your research, my crowd!
It's time for pony trivia!
This episode was not flawless, but according to M.A. Larson, there was actually a different premise for this season 7 episode in progress. Which episode am I referring to?
Correct answers only, please!
Bonus points are a thing too~! Post a funny gif. Ask my how my day was. Give a compliment, as long as it's genuine. Share a random fact. Identify the image. Try ANYTHING you can think of! It might work.
Good luck, my crowd.

Hello there, my crowd! Welcome to my Weekly Musings: Red Edition.
[I ❤ JAPAN] -- [I ❤ THE COLOR RED] -- [I ❤ CELESTIA]
Feel free to leave a song request. Your song will eventually be featured in a future Weekly Musings entry!
My back hurts, my crowd.
Is it possible that my chair doesn't give the best support that it can?
The biggest thing that happened this week was nothing positive.
I got sick on Friday, and my family is having some legal issues. These issues could potentially keep them from selling my grandparents' old house, not to mention some money issues. So annoying, but I am convinced that it will all work out eventually.
Well I guess there is one good thing coming out of this. It was a little more than I wanted to spend, but I finally used up that Walmart gift card I got over the holiday season.
Was originally going to use it on a new oscillating fan, but when the price on that went up, I found something better. I needed a new USB Wifi adaptor for my computer, and I think I found one. There was also some money left over, so I bought the DVD boxset of Ultraseven X. ...Yes, you can buy Tokusatsu on Walmart. I wish I was kidding, but it's kind of awesome. The total for all this meant I had to pay a little extra out of pocket, but it's worth it.
Speaking of Wifi... This week has been a big learning experience. First thing I learned was to find out the specs of your desktop or laptop computer; find out how much of a Wifi signal you are actually receiving, because it could be less than what you are paying for. If you have any routers, wifi beacons, range extenders in your house; etc.; check ALL of them! Because if they are old, they might not match the internet speeds you are paying for. Sounds like a scam? It gets worse.
You may be paying for a certain amount of internet speed, but the modem, beacons, and other devices your service provider gives you might not actually transmit the full internet speed you are paying for. If that happens, you have to make a tough choice--Either use the standard issue equipment from your service provider, or risk paying tons of money to get your own equipment. The former may not be perfect, but your service provider will service, repair, and replace that equipment for free. The latter option gives you the freedom of getting way better equipment, but if any of it breaks down, it's up to you to pay for a replacement. It's practically manipulation. Pure evil genius.
Geats 23: Great Enola Geats!
Well, consider any predictions I had for this episode blown away; literally! It seems the Jamato sponsor was able to keep that driver after all, and use it no less! The visual of her attacking the field in such an atomic fashion made my heart stop for a bit. Mostly, this episode was about plot more that it was about spectacle. Geats learns more about the sponsors and the audience. We learn more about the Goddess of Creation, though it was kind of obvious. But the lingering question now remains: Will all of this get wiped away in favor of another reset, or will things go back to the way they were?
NO DONBROTHERS THIS WEEK.
I'll make it a double feature and watch the finale next week.
I promise, I will be watching the Netflix He-Man cartoon real soon.
The reason I didn't start this week is because I started some other, personal projects that needed attention first. But that shouldn't be an issue next week.
hat's all for now, my crowd.
Take care, and don't fear the lizard.
Is it time for some Shinedown? I think it's time for some Shinedown. This may be so old that it's being used for mindless Tiktok videos and what not, but the lyrics are still as powerful and as meaningful as ever. This is "How Did You Love" by Shinedown.

What was the answer?!John de Lancie.
Let’s check the PDM Leaderboard:
- @Rising Dusk - 309,336
- @Silly Druid - 178,693
And that's four games complete. Depending on what happens next time, I may or may not stop at 5.
Take care, my crowd.

Hey there, my crowd? Ready for a LOOOOONG winded story about technology and what I learned?

No?! Well okay then! See you next time!
LOL.
But for those still around, allow me to break it up into readable parts.
HOW IT BEGAN:
SpoilerFor weeks, I had been suffering with my internet. Throttling internet speeds that kept slowing down.
It was nothing I couldn't handle before. Reset my devices. Disconnect and reconnect. Stuff like that usually fixed it. However, there came a day recently where it just kept throttling, many times in one day. I tried calling my service provider, but that didn't yield any good results. So I was about to try disconnecting my USB Wifi Adaptor and plugging it back in, but that's when I discovered something. It was plugged in to a USB 3.0 slot! So I moved it over to a 2.0 slot instead, and it worked. No throttling. Which means the Wifi Adaptor is not 3.0 compliant. It has to be in a 2.0 slot only or else it won't work properly.
That seemed to work at first, but in the following days, I made a discovery...
THE DISCOVERY:
SpoilerEven at it's best, my computer was only getting an internet speed of about 78 Mbps (Download speed) and 95 Mbps (Upload Speed). Something just didn't seem right.
My computer was still having trouble streaming and watching HD videos, and yet nothing else was having that trouble. My televisions, cell phone, and portable devices were fine. And after much research, I figured it out.It was my Wifi Adaptor.
The one I have is a cheap piece garbage. It was included with the computer I bought. Might have just been good for tech demo purposes only. The Adaptor can only give me a total of 173 Mbps (78 DL/95 UL). I checked with my service provider, and I am paying for at least a total of 500 Mbps. Which means I need to get a new adaptor. Something that can give me all of the internet speed I'm actually paying for.
I'm currently in the process of looking at my options, but some of the better name brand adaptors are expensive.
MY ADVICE:
SpoilerI don't know what device or what set up you are using. However, if you need a Wifi Adaptor, Router, Beacon, or some other similar piece of technology, PLEASE do the following...
Find out how much internet speed you are paying for, and then find an Adaptor, Router, Beacon, or whatever that matches the Mbps that you're paying for. Hopefully, you can find one that's not too expensive.
I wish I had known this sooner, but hopefully this advice will work for anyone that still doesn't know. If you've ever been shopping, and you found these devices at different price points, now you know why. The more Mbps the device offers, the higher the price goes up.
I don't like it, but that's how it is. However...
THE SCAM?:
SpoilerI almost think it's a scam that Wifi devices work this way.
I honestly don't know how the technology works, or if the internal parts really do make a financial difference. I just don't understand WHY different Wifi Adaptors, Routers, Beacons, etc. can only give you so much for the data/internet speed you're paying for. I don't understand why they have these built-in limits. I don't understand why we have to pay different prices for better devices. Seems like there shouldn't be any limits, it should just give you the unbridled internet speed that you're all ready paying for.
If anyone can tell me why it's necessary to forcefully limit or reduce your own internet speed with the hardware you're using, I'd love to hear it, because I can't imagine a situation where you'd want that.
THE FUNNY STORY:
SpoilerMany years ago, before most traditional forms of Wifi that exist today, DSL modems were the popular way to get high-speed internet. Back then, my uncle gave me a Netgear Router that would turn my wired DSL signal into a Wifi signal.
I had held onto it all this time, but after all the trouble I went through, I decided to fish it out and see if it would help. The box set it could give me 600 Mbps. I don't know how that would divide between DL and UL speeds, but it was better than nothing. So I hooked it up and tried to install it. Want to know how old this tech is?
The driver for the Netgear Router can't install unless I have Flashplayer.
I even went on Netgear's website, and all the software they had for this Router was out of date.I may have held onto the Router for years, but it went into the trash at record speed.
TL;DR?
After many challenges with my internet speed suddenly dropping on ONLY my desktop computer, I learned I need to get a new USB Wifi Adaptor. One that actually matches my needs. I just hope everyone keeps in mind what they are paying for and making sure their hardware can support it.
Take care, my crowd.

Hi there, my crowd. Got any candy?
I thought Valentines Day was going to be the highlight of the week, but it really wasn't. I just had some sweets that day. No, the real attraction was what happened over the weekend. I decided to host a lunch for my family. I made a really good enchilada casserole, and everyone loved it. I didn't even need any thanks for the meal when it was over; just knowing everyone loved it was enough for me!
Well, mystery solved!
I had been experiencing slow down periods with my internet, mostly on my computer. I called my service provider, that didn't fix it. This problem has been weeks in the making, but it got really bad recently. Then I tried something random, and guess what? Turns out the problem was my USB Wifi dongle. I had it plugged into a USB 3.0 slot, but this cheap thing isn't 3.0 compliant. After putting it in a 2.0 slot, it works! No slow down. No disruptions. I really wish I had thought of this sooner, but at least the mystery is solved.
MOVE TIME!
I recently saw BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER. I am sure some people probably predicted who the new Black Panther is. I had a feeling who it might be, but it still took me by surprise that they would actually commit and go all the way. Still, they made it work within the lore of this universe. The climax of this movie, the final fight, really seals the deal in making the new Black Panther a worthy successor. But this movie is more about two kingdoms rather than one. I like the way they did Namor here. He never truly struck me as a superhero, too angsty and antagonistic, though he has often been toted as one. Here, they find the right balance, but still give him future potential to do heroic things. The movie is not perfect, though. There are moments where the narrative either weakens or could have been done better. I still don't fully understand why Wakanda was so secretive about telling the rest of the world or the Avengers about Namor, other then the fact that it would mean more foreign forces on Wakanda's shores. There was even moments where the war in this movie could have potentially been deflated early. (I feel like I could write scenes for HISHE right now~) Still, a million little nitpicks aside, this movie was good. Not the best, but good. Above average. Not at all the weakest movie in the MCU, and it was a very loving send-off to Chadwick. I totally understand why they didn't hire a look-a-like now. That's all good and fine when the previous actor is just moving on, but when a main actor is dead, it's better to be more respectful. Here's hoping the next movie in the MCU is even greater!
[ 1 / 2 ] I also saw Wednesday SEASON 1. Knowing the Addams Family and how they are typically portrayed, it is easy to think that this special misses the point, but I actually see what they're going for. Besides Pugsley suddenly needing protection from bullies, Wednesday is not a kid anymore. She's a teenager going through a skeptical, rebellious phase. The Addams Family have never wanted to harm anyone outside the family, especially no one that wasn't on board for their dangerous sense of fun. Wednesday was beginning to lose sight of that in her teenage rebellion, so she is going to this new high school to find herself and get this rebellious phase out of her system. However, instead of finding herself, she finds a mystery that will help her to understand her family and her heritage a bit more, as well as challenge her in other personal ways. When you get over how nontraditional the story approach is, you'll find a masterpiece here. The music choice. The cast. The director and the crew. They even sprinkle in some fan pandering, such as saying an iconic line as well as making both portly Gomez and skinny Gomez completely canon.
[ 2 / 2 ] It's bizarre when Wednesday Addams of all people is out solving a mystery way more captivating than whatever HBO Max is doing with the Scooby franchise these days. One could argue that was always a low bar, but no one ever expected this brilliant, surprisingly charming show. And yes, I will want to own a copy of the show's soundtrack. As I watched, I learned the show ends of a cliff hanger, but I was pleasantly surprised. While it does indeed end that way, the mystery at large is solved. So you could watch this one season as a stand-alone thing; but thankfully it connected with enough audiences that a Season 2 is going to happen after all, and I want to be in line for that. It's surreal, really. In an age where Netflix is making decisions that could bankrupt the company, no one expected them to deliver a masterpiece like this. So if Netflix wants to stay around, it is up to them to keep delivering shows and movies at this level of quality. I anxiously await Season 2, but until then... I heard Netflix has an original He-Man series that I really should see.
DonBrothers 48: A New Don.
Talk about a sudden flip. I previously thought Kiji Brother was annoying, but now I see Inu Brother can be just as annoying in his own way. You'd think that having your life back would mean that you'd be happier and more lax. However, Inu Brother is just a natural loner, and I honestly don't find it charming at all. I could be wrong, but it looks like we're marching towards the end of DonBros. I hope we'll be ready. There is so many unresolved aspects to the show, and the next episode preview does not get me super excited about what they are implying. Even Don Dragoku feels like a footnote in this series; he achieved inner peace in this episode, yet we hardly got to see him shine. The monsters in this episode were carry-overs from last time.
Geats 22: One Lady's Drama...
There is not much to say other than this episode is filler. They have set up a new character that is interested in Ne-On for unknown reasons. There is a new sponsor-level Rider. None of them have had a chance to shine yet. Ne-On did a terrible job of casting suspicion away from herself. The only good thing from this is that the story line isn't completely over just yet. It's all just window dressing to get us excited for what happens in the next episode. Also, I genuinely don't believe the Jamato sponsor is going to successfully walk away with the Game Master's driver, but I guess we'll see when we see.
That's all for now, my crowd.
Take care, and have a slice of food; my treat.
I may or may not make this myself some day. All I know is I like history, I like Mac & Cheese, and I oddly like the combination of both. This is "Macaroni & Cheese from 1845" by Tasting History with Max Miller.

And now, the results of Tuesday's game!
What was the answer?!The Journal of the Two Sisters.
Let’s check the PDM Leaderboard:
- @Rising Dusk - 219,671
- @Silly Druid - 117,553
Third game complete. Though no offense to the two players keeping it alive, but if I don't see more players soon, I may need to reconsider keeping this game going.
Take care, my crowd.
