  1. Oops! Sorry I didn't see this message sooner. Nah, it's fine. If it's just going to be a one-day character, there's no need to make a profile for him. Only if he's going to be around longer will that be necessary. That's quite a darker shade of gray you choose for Trilby. Still, I appreciate it! I'll make this image my desktop background some day.
  2. Welcome to the crowd. B)

Your posts are something of a familiar sight to me, and earlier I came across a reply you'd made regarding St. Paddy's Day (Thank you for saying 'Paddy' and not 'Patty' :dash::dry:). Overall, I was just intrigued by your profile and thought I'd follow to learn more.

      Hope you don't mind? :kindness:

Yes! Years of following JackSepticEye has finally paid off! :mlp_yeehaa:

I don't mind at all! I may all ready have a big crowd of friends, but as the song goes... There's always room for you, if you wanna be my friend! :BrightMacContent:

Haha! You have no idea how much I appreciate the little detail. :yay:

Room for one more in the Equine Social Club? Happy to join in! Shoot me a PM if you'd like to talk more personally. :sassy:

In the meantime, I hope your own Paddy's Day went well. Keep the spirits up, and let's be there for others during these trying times. :dash:

  3. That's very sweet of you to offer. I all ready have plenty of art of my main OC, but if it's not too much trouble, feel free to make a pic of my other OC Trilby Hatter. If he's too complicated to draw, then you don't have to if you don't want to. Here is his ref from a few pages ago:
  4. @Windy Breeze Trilby smiles from ear to ear and gives a happy laugh at being hugged. "Oh, well~ You know! A well-to-do haberdasher like me should invest in charity once in a while." Trilby explains. "Are you going to be okay with this? It might take a few hours to set everything up. If there is something else you want to do in the meantime, I don't mind." @Kronos the Revenant "Are you sure this is the pony we should be hiring?" One of random citizens asks her friends. "Yes! You saw him, didn't you? Ahem... Sir, please forgive us, but we saw you at the restaurant the other night, including your quite capable skills. We were wondering if we might be able to hire you to perform a job of espionage." The leader of the group asks Kronos.
  5. Oh, hey, I passed 6000 brohoofs all ready. ...I should probably care more about this stuff, shouldn't I?
  6. @Jack Baker Samurai just shakes his head. "Oh no, this is not three times the payment. This is half, like you said before. The other half is the customers you'll get. At least, I hope you'll get some. This has been a largely peaceful town, so I can't say for sure how much work you'll get. Still, I hope you get plenty." Samurai says with a smile. He invites him inside to take a tour. "Hmm? How did I do this? Easy. I wake up at the crack of dawn every day." Samurai explains. "Now, the first room in here is the reception where customers can wait. Back there is your main office, with a privacy door. And over there in that other door is storage, for any documents or weapons you might need. I installed radios for your customers to listen to while they wait; that's my favorite feature. And the gumball machine... Well, that was just a donated bonus. You'd be surprised what ponies in this town want to part with sometimes." Samurai comments.
  7. I wonder how many of my followers have custom playlists for different moods or occasions.

In my early college years, I made two. One for racing/driving fast, and another for songs that sounded like they could be spy movie theme songs.

...The latter didn't have as many songs on it. :lie:

I basically have one massive superplaylist with all my songs with vocals, then a bunch of different instrumental genres for different occasions.

      Bastian

      @Samurai Equine

Some of my favourite songs like Sunday Bloody Sunday, Limp Bizkit, James Blunt and more.:D

    4. Tacodidra

      Tacodidra

I actually don't have any playlists... :adorkable: There are so many songs I like, and I rarely want to hear the same songs over and over (to avoid getting sick of them), so I wouldn't really have a use for them. I just randomly come up with songs to listen to. :ButtercupLaugh:

  8. @Jack Baker "Actually, it is." Samurai reassures him before taking the lead. After some much walking, Samurai shows it to him. "Ta-da! It's a business building just for you. You said that you were a mercenary, correct? Well, now your business has a central location. Makes it much easier for customers to find you. What do you think?" @Windy Breeze Trilby was half joking when he asked that question, but now he finds himself blushing and inspired. He coughs. "Right, come along then." He takes Shadow's hoof in his own. "We're going to make this school MUCH better! I think i can donate a few playground supplies." @Kronos the Revenant As Kronos plays, a group of random citizen ponies walk up to him. "Excuse me sir, could we have a moment of your time?"
  9. Would you like some help with that? I can provide an activity with NPC characters.
  10. @Dynamo Pad, @Astral Vision Samurai knew he didn't need to explain too much to Dynamo about the origins of the Laronde Box, at least not yet. He all ready explained everything to Astral, and Astral will explain it further. If necessary, Samurai will answer any further questions he has afterwards. Although, he was confused why Dynamo reacted so strongly to the 'Buck Yeah' comment. Was this a western pony thing? In asian pony lands, there is no such thing as taboo or forbidden words. Forbidden magic; maybe. But words? Not really. @Jack Baker As Raze takes to the streets, he soon runs into the same samurai pony from last night. "Oh! Raze! There you are. I've been looking for you. I've got a surprise for you." @Windy Breeze Trilby smirks but shakes his head. "Sorry sweetheart, but I can't tell ya. As the secretary for one of the mayors, I promised not to give away too much information without his approval. Afraid I can't tell you why they don't make public appearances. But if you're lucky, I might be able to convince the mayor to see you. He trusts me, so if I tell him you're cool, he might believe me." Trilby explains. "...By the way, why did you want to come see all this? Do you like children? Do you want to be a mother some day?" Trilby asks Shadow.
  11. Well, you voted, and I saw it.

I just finished watching Enchanted, and... It's interesting.  It's full of plotholes a mile wide, and I guess Disney just couldn't bear to be completely cynical against themselves.
There were parts I liked; I am glad that Nancy also got a happy ending since she really didn't really do anything to deserve having her life ruined.

Still, I can't rightfully say this movie was for me. Disney made a nice attempt at being a self-parody, but they clearly couldn't handle it here, so maybe it's best left to people with comedic experience. People who won't hold any punches nor throw away logic by the later half of the film.

    1. Stone Cold Steve Jobs

      Stone Cold Steve Jobs

I never saw that one either actually.

Take my advice and don’t ever watch The Love Guru.

      Samurai Equine

@Stone Cold Steve Tuna Wasn't planning on it! The last Austin Powers movie was just terrible, so I didn't really expect Love Guru to do better either.

    3. Stone Cold Steve Jobs

      Stone Cold Steve Jobs

I liked Goldmember. But it wasn’t as good as the first two.

But Love Guru ruined his career baby, yeah!

  12. The hand puppets were my family, and if I wasn't giving them life as their puppet master, they would die...
  13. Let me kiss your soul.... If I go crazy, then will still call me your friend? If I stop posting, would you check in on me then? I'll keep you by my side with my pony magic light... Twilight.
  14. @Dynamo Pad, @Astral Vision, @Pastel Heart Samurai was about to lower his hoof, but Pastel rose to the challenge. "Buck yeah! That's my favorite filly!" He praises her success. But it seems Dynamo and Pastel are leaving to spend time with Astral, so he waves them farewell. The day is still young and he has a few missions to complete. @Jack Baker On his own once more, Samurai keeps walking until he is in the neighborhood Raze is in. "This seems right, but I can't remember which house it was... Maybe if I wait here, Raze will just show up on his own?" Samurai says to himself. He thinks about knocking on some doors, including Sundae Delight's house, but he doesn't want to annoy any pony in case he picked the wrong house. @Windy Breeze Trilby put a hoof on her back to try and comfort Shadow. "The mayors? Well, they were brothers that use to be very close. Once upon a time, when they built this city, they wanted it to be a great place for friendship. But places like Ponyville became more popular, and ponies were having a hard time finding this place. From what I understand, the two of them had a disagreement about how to run the town, so they split ways. The town hasn't been the same ever since."
  15. @Windy Breeze Trilby thinks about it. "Well, if the school is okay with it... And they probably will be... I guess we could always buy some supplies from a local contractor. I'm sorry if this wasn't the lively scene you were expecting, Shadow. Ever since the two mayors split up, every pony has just been waiting for something to happen, something that will make this town happier. Even the teachers at this school don't know what they're doing half of the time; they could really use some help. I stay in touch with one of the mayors, and he's usually very nice, but I've heard the other mayor is a very angry pony." Trilby says.
  16. @Windy Breeze Trilby opens the door for her, like a gentlestallion, and they head off together for a day of fun. Who knows who they might run into! It takes a few minutes of walking the streets together, but eventually, they find a school. The little fillies are colts are nice and well behaved, waving and minding their manors, but they aren't very excited to be in school. The playgrounds barely have anything toys or fun things for them to do. There is one set of swings, and it's half broken. The young ones look bored and not very lively at all. Only a few of them are talking about the concert yesterday; that seems to be the only hot topic going around in the city right now. "I hope you're not disappointed." Trilby says.
  17. @Windy Breeze Trilby has to laugh to himself just a little bit. He passes Shadow a napkin. "We'll go as soon as I finish some early morning business. Won't take me but a few minutes, I promise." Trilby says. He finishes breakfast first and goes to tend to it. First, he checks his mail. Mostly junk, but one letter he'll keep for later. Then he goes back to his clothing shop to make sure that his hours are posted. He goes into his office, grabs a briefcase, and makes sure all his important documents are inside. Then, he returns to Shadow Trail. "All right! I'm ready to go if you are, Shadow."
  18. @Windy Breeze Just like he said, once Shadow Trail comes back, breakfast is served. "You look really nice today." Trilby gives her a bowl full of gourmet oatmeal, with just the right amount of sweet and some optional fruits on the side. "Would you still like to see the local children? It's a school day today, so I am sure there is plenty to see." Trilby asks.
  19. I could come up with some activities for you to do, if you want some help. I have NPC's for a reason. I am willing to help anyone that doesn't quite know what to do.
  20. @Astral Vision, @Dynamo Pad, @Pastel Heart "Good morning, Pastel. It's good to see you too. Still as energetic as always, I see." Samurai offers Pastel a high hoof bump. He also looks at the book Dynamo has. Using his magic, he lifts it closer, quickly scans some of the pages, then gives it back to Dynamo. "It looks like a pretty good start, but feel free to ask me anything if this book doesn't answer all your questions. After all, I came from her home village, so I can easily fill in the finer details on her history or on my culture." He then hears him mention the box. "I didn't? Huh... Could have sworn I did... In that case," Samurai pulls out his magic puzzle box. "This is the Laronde Box. It's a magic puzzle box. When I solve it, the two mayors will be reunited, and the town will return to the festive locale that it use to be. So far, I've only gotten two steps closer, but the box hasn't completely opened yet."
  21. @Astral Vision, @Dynamo Pad Samurai begins to nod his head, but then hears a familiar voice. "Dynamo! Good morning." Samurai welcomes him. "I was just talking to Astral here. I heard the two of you are going to do some magic training. I'm going to let the two of you do that; I've got some community service to tend to. No rush or anything, but if either of you have some free time, I'd appreciate your help in decoding the puzzle box. I haven't gotten any new clues yet." Samurai looks over at Astral. "If you still want to talk to either of the mayors, like I mentioned before, there is a pony that might be able to help. His name is Trilby Hatter. He runs a clothing shop, but he also does some secretary work for one of the mayors. But good luck convincing him to open up about it. He can be pretty tight-lipped. Every time I ask, he completely refuses. Maybe either of you could convince him otherwise." @Windy Breeze "One oatmeal coming up!" Trilby notices Shadow just woke up. "Why don't you go freshen up for the day? I'll make the oatmeal gourmet, so it'll take a moment to finish." Trilby says, getting to work on breakfast.
  22. @Astral Vision, @Kronos the Revenant, @Jack Baker Samurai can't help but notice how much the town has changed. He could swear there is music in the air, but he doesn't know where it's coming from. Still, it's a good groove! However, he doesn't have too much time to think about it. "Oh! Goodmorning, Astral. Saw the building did you? It's a surprise gift for Raze. Well, if I can find him, that is... I completely forgot where he said he was living." Samurai shrugs. "After that, I'm going to be doing some charity work. But I am glad you're here. How has your research been going? Maybe you could help me with the puzzle box, if you're not too busy." @Windy Breeze Trilby nods. "Just like I said I would." Trilby goes to the kitchen. There is an island/dining table combo in the middle of the kitchen. He starts to go through his supplies. "What would you like more, breakfast muffins or oatmeal? We've got plenty of fruits, hay, and even some dark chocolate chips if you like."
  23. I suppose you could answer the question, summarize/gloss over anything else Dynamo was going to do that night, and then move on to Day 3. It's what I did. I engaged a little bit, summarized the rest, and moved on. Honestly, I'm still figuring things out myself. This is part of why I wondered if I should continue separating events into Days or not. Sometimes participants either ignore or completely miss what's currently going on in the RP and just do their own thing anyways. It's not always fair to others. I'm doing my best to keep up with everyone else's stories, even if none of my characters are involved. However, I'm not going to kick anyone out of the RP unless they are being very disrespectful, so I guess just focus on what you feel is the most important. I'm trying to stay focused on the major stories and events, but I'm also trying to make time for smaller interactions too. I draw the line at someone wanting one of my characters to be in two places at once. That just gets confusing.
