Hello there, my crowd! Welcome to my Weekly Musings: Orange Edition.
[I ❤ JAPAN] -- [I ❤ THE COLOR RED] -- [I ❤ CELESTIA]
Feel free to leave a video request. Your video will eventually be featured in a future Weekly Musings entry!
Hey there, my crowd!
Where is the fried rice?
Can't say anything big happened in the previous week. Though something silly did happen. I ended up having Mexican food 3 nights in a row.
Did try to get my lawn mower fixed, but there was some miscommunication, so it didn't happen. If there is any reason why this status update is late... It's because I forgor. My bad!
I saw the Crunchyroll Anime Awards. or at least some parts of it. Can't say I had enough of an opinion on who should win or not. I was lucky enough just to recognize some titles. But at least I saw 3 anime titles that interested me. I wrote them down for later.
Sonic Boom S2 49-52: Remember Action.
49 is a strange episode with the unexpected return of the Cyborg Sonic duplicates, but I oddly want a soundtrack just for this episode alone. They actually made a song for it! 50 just made me miss Silver; hopefully he wouldn't go through the same kind of character arc. And the epic two-part finale was... Epic! Though I gotta say, Boom Shadow is easily the worst. And I'm sorry Eggman, but sequel baiting just isn't going to work a 2nd time.
MY FINAL THOUGHTS ON THE SONIC BOOM TV SERIES:
After seeing Season 2, my thoughts on this show have changed slightly. When I saw Season 1, I thought it was a snore fest. I thought it was meant to be a mix of action of comedy. Because of that, I thought the action was way too sparse and subdued, while the comedy that got most of the focus was entirely flat. Basically, it was a comedy pretending to be an action show, yet failing at both, despite plenty of people claiming they loved it. Maybe I judged the show too harshly simply because I didn't understand what it was going for. I went into Season 2 expecting it to be nothing more than a dumb comedy. I had a few more laughs than I did in Season 1. There were even some impressive action moments. There were also moments that made these characters the worst iteration of themselves, and moments that only coincidentally remembers who they really are. In summary, only see Sonic Boom if you insist on absorbing all Sonic media. Otherwise, you can skip it. If anything, you can watch an Out-Of-Context compilation on YouTube and get the best jokes and best moments without having to grind through the rest.
Since I was still somewhat interested, I saw The Mandalorian Season 2.
Hard to say if this season was better than Season 2. The majority of the first half was easily forgettable. It doesn't really pick up until the end. It was pretty cool getting to see Boba Fett again, and with armor that isn't covered in paint scratches and such. In fact, this season reminded me about The Book of Bobba Fett. I forgot that was a thing. Might check it out, if I am feeling generous. Gotta say, the season finale surprised me. I knew Luke Skywalker and his CGI'd face would appear, I just didn't realize it would be the season 2 finale. Even so, a better inclusion here than what they did to his character in the Rey trilogy. Guess I'll check out Season 3 just to complete the experience.
That's it for now, my crowd.
Take care, and forward mach.
It is hard for me to describe Aggressive Positivity to others. It's even harder to get people interested in it; either you do or you don't. Those who don't can't get past the aggressiveness, as it reminds them of bullies and jerks who acted the same way. But I feel like this is a pretty good example of Aggressive Positivity. This guy doesn't want to hurt you, he just wants to make pizza. And I just might go to Papa Johns and order this pizza just because of him.
