auctions on eBay can get insane - keeping an eye open for a "spare" classic Kindle; I don't actually need one (because I have one, and it works fine) but I rely on it enough that I would like a spare if it is cheap enough.

For some reason though, the last couple I have looked at have suddenly been "sniped" a few minutes before close, and ended up going for pretty much the price amazon sell a brand new one for...

I'm been lucky with my eBay purchases for the most part. Mainly because I have some unique interests unique hobbies and a unique collection that are perhaps rare or uninteresting to most people.
