You do have a fairly good bit of humor in you. You just need to use topics that your audience can relate to.

For instance, you probably wouldn't get the joke "日曜日にパーティがあるん?? けど、来なかったら許さんデ!"

Nichiyoubi ni party ga arunndakedo, konakattara yurusannde!

Sunday there is a party, if you don't come, I won't forgive you!

Unless I told you that it is funny, because the slang for "I won't forgive you", "yurusannde", sounds like SUNDA...

I only used that japanese language to see how many could tell what i was saying. Only found one person though.
