@Syn: Depends on the situation , the term beautiful doesn't really bother me all that often, in fact, I feel it's one of the more "polite" compliments one could give.

Yeah, that is a bit creepy o_o (and honestly one of my pet peeves). though I may get flack for saying this, but I also find folks attempting to flirt with girls who openly declare they have a boyfriend, to be just as...concerning -_-
