    There are MANY fan fictions that depict Muffins as a dedicated mom who works hard to take care of her daughter(s). in Slice of Life, its simply "likes muffins, is cross eyed and clumsy, and is close friends with a pony version of the 10th Doctor". It just....bothers me, that the show staff think of her as nothing but a punch line.

      You're looking at the staff's actions of Derpy too deeply. Derpy in SoL made a mistake, but she also means well, and she's treated like everyone else in the town, not just the Doc.
