    Do you guys know Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation? When it says R is the distance between the centers of the masses, does it mean it's centre of mass, or what?

      Yeah, but where do you start? For example, the Earth and the moon. Of course, it's not the surface, but when it says the center of the masses, do you mean the center of Earth or it's center of mass. Like if you had Euler's disk. Would it be from the it's center of mass, of from the origin of it?

      It would have to be the center of its mass. Distancing two objects away using ill-advised referrals like that will kill your equation.

       

      Unless you're doing something like the gravitational force between some guy in China and the sun.
