  1. yeah, I think I see the cyborg resemblance.
  2. Muddy's eyes widened as what Copper Mane said settled in. She could feel the anger for this pony rising. In a low but steady voice she approached Copper Mane, looked him straight in the eye and said,"Then we'll find it." She turned to Copper Cup and looked over at the other ponies that had gathered in the canteen. "I'm not too bad at finding things that have become lost. Even if the sucker's rare as hell. If I halfta go it alone I'll manage but I'd do better with the company." Muddy turned back to Copper Mane. " You bet your flank your coming. Your the one that got me in this pickle." Muddy's outward resolve never wavered, she looked determined as ever to make this trek happen, but on the inside she was quiverin' like a newborn filly.
  3. Muddy Hoove peeked up from behind her hoof at Coppermane. " Forgotten! Forgotten?1 You better talk quick buddy before I get real conscious about how you could be doing plenty more than just fixin' me up," Muddy threatened. She was scared shitless and it was her first line of defense.
  4. Muddy looked Coppermane in the eyes. " I want this to happen, I need it to. This injury's made me slow and I can't have that. I need both wings or none at all. I'm sick of being somewhere in the middle." Muddy extended her right wing as much as she could as a sign for him to begin.
  5. Muddy, trying to distract herself from the tools that Coppermane was handling, got a peek of Solitude, who was resting on a large stack of books. " That's the pony I left at the library. His name is Solitude Serenity. I invited him before I knew we'd have so many guests." Copper Cup gave Muddy a disapproving look. "You better let him in before he faints of exhaustion."
  6. Muddy looked at Copper Cup. Copper Cup gave an encouraging smile. Muddy turned back, "I think I've some scrap in the shed out back. If its useful I'm game, if you are."
  7. Muddy gave him a quizzical look. "Can't say that we have. I'm afraid what Copper Cup meant was that I'm interested in the robotics of your dog because I could use a little artificial mending myself." Gesturing towards her right wing she went on to say, "I had a bit of a spill a few years back that got me some shrapnel permanently embedded in my wing. I've never been able to fly much higher than about 12 feet in the air. It makes a girl mighty slow and I've been trying to find a way to fix that for a while now. I was hoping you might have a bit ah know how on how Ace here was made so I could figure out how to get it fixed up right quick."
  8. Muddy smiled at the new pony, " Nice to meet you as well." Then she noticed the dog, really looking at him now instead of the simple glance that she had given him earlier. He was this unique robot/dog-flesh hybrid that made a very interesting creation. Mesmerized she left the table to get a closer look. He was sort of rhythmically panting the same way a biological dog would. It was fascinating. "Where'd you pick him up?"
  9. Taken aback by the hostility of the pegasus from earlier that was saddled next to the intro from the other, Muddy decided to tread lightly. " Woah now fella, hold your horses. I meant no harm. In these parts I've got to trust on instinct first and I meant no offense. If I wronged ya by judging your cutie mark a tad early I apologize but I won't apologize for defending myself against possible danger." Turning from the hurt pegasus to Coppermane, "Nice to meetchya, I'm Muddy Hooves but you can call me Muddy. Nice to have you and your friend here for a bit of a stay." Setting down the her bags Muddy came up to Copper cup with a pout. " This you can forgive me Cuppy Poo?" Muddy through in some eyelash flutters for good measure. All she got in return was a narrowing glare. Muddy shrugged, grabbed a bowl and joined the disgruntled pegasus to eat.
  10. After seeing the pegasus flutter away, Muddy turned back to Solitude. "Looks like I should head back to the settlement. The place is Foaling Green, here's a map of sorts," she said handing her hoof-drawn map on a scrap of paper. "I've got to get back, been gone a bit too long, feel free to pick your way through what's left in the library. If you're still interested in that meal, then don't be a stranger." With that Muddy, left Solitude with the map and headed the short walk back to the settlement. Wasn't but a few steps into camp that she saw the trail of reddish blood that led up to the canteen. In a panic, Muddy galloped to the door and threw it open with knife a blazin'. Only to see that all was as it usually was and Copper Cup was giving her a rather displeased look. "I know it took me too long, I'm sorry. I should have been here hours ago. I got held up with a unicorn who actually wanted to read the books and not use them as kindling for once." With a desire to be forgiven, Muddy grabbed the book of plants from her saddle bags and gave it to Copper cup with a hopeful grin. " He said he might be by with some meat for you steeeeee-eeew!"
  11. Muddy steps aside, " It would be my pleasure to show you around the place." In the process of reentering the library, there was a flutter of wings from above. With a look up grabs her long knife, just in case. Looking up, no evil critter lied in wait, instead it was another Pegasus. His grenade cutie mark wasn't too promising on a non threatening outlook. Muddy kept her knife at the ready. "Can I help you with something, fellow pony?"
  12. "Yeah, it seems even in hell people still forget about the books. There's plenty of em' left inside, a bit scattered this way and that but still plenty there." Muddy, getting a better idea of the pony before her, decided that her assumption of his character was a good one. Giving him her best welcoming smile she thought she'd see if there was a chance he need a place to stay. "The name's Muddy Hooves. If your interested, I'm from a settlement not too far from here that cooks up a mighty fine stew. We could always use some meat if you need a place to stay in return. Whaddya say?"
  13. Muddy, having found the materials necessary, fluttered down from the upper level of the library. Hearing what sounded like a shot from a little ways away while mid air she readies herself for the possibility of combat. As Muddy flies as slowly and as steadily as she is able, she peers out the window to see what special kind of hell might be in store for her. After a little while a unicorn was making it' approach with what looked like some kind of meat hanging out of it's saddle bags. He looked harmless enough, with a quill cutie mark. "Hmmm," thought Muddy, "If he's friendly enough, maybe I can convince him to donate that meat to a good cause." Muddy decided to take her chances. From her spot inside the library Muddy gives out a loud holler, " Hey Unicorn! I mean you no harm." She pops her head out with a surrendering gesture of holding her weapon above her head. "Just wondering where a studious fellow like you might be headed and if perhaps I could interest you in a slightly different direction." With a smile Muddy slowly began to approach the now, apprehensive looking fellow.
  14. Muddy Hooves was smiling again. Strange how that felt, to smile again. She hadn't done so for some time, but with Copper in her life and a new found purpose, she been smiling a lot recently. With a landscape that proved to be as desolate as the new Equestria, blank flanks were almost more common that cutie marks, the desire to do what you are meant to didn't mean the same anymore. Not for her. She had a drive and a need to fulfill lives that were destroyed or bring a little back to those who never had good ones in the first place. That's how Muddy found herself at the old library. It was a favorite for her to forage because when the world fell, nobody cared about the books, they just sat, collecting dust. There was always a new treasure that she could find and she found that alot of what she read had allowed her to survive as long as she had. Although the structure of the building had some fire damage and a lot fewer windows than she imagined it had before, it still held up pretty well considering. Muddy picked her way around the broken glass on the window and hovered through, and flew her way to the second floor to the non-fiction, for Copper Cup. She'd been looking for a better book on the evolution of plants to see how her mutated ones were changing. Muddy was more interested in finding something on sewing craft, due to some interest in making the camp new curtains. When I found the whole section I cleared a bit of debris and hunkered down to read for a bit, making sure my hatchet and long knife were easily accessible.
  15. I went to Animarithon. It's a con my college Anime group puts on every year. I heard it first from my sister who tried to get me to read the books but I haven't quite been able to handle his writing style and so I found the movie for cheap and bought it and have loved it ever since.
  16. The way I did it was I put some incredibly bright pink cheap dye in my hair( the permanent stuff is best) and then I put my hair in curlers for a good few hours with a lotta lotta hair spray and let them out and voila Pinkie Pie hair. This is an image of me and my girlfriend at the con. She went as Applejack. Well it is the answer to life the universe and everything.
  17. I like farenheit 451 too.... Possibly because you told me to, lol. Welcome fellow brony... to the herd.
  18. Hiya, just wanted to say a little hello! I've been a fan since the beginning of the second season but haven't gotten started too much on the internet following and I thought i'd give it a try. I'm huge Pinkie Pie fan and even dressed as here at the last con I went to. It was really really fun and I even got some compliments on how well I did her voice. I had a blast!
