I'm kinda pissed. My first paycheck with my new job and I only received $200. I worked 32 hours and should've received at least $450 to $500. Looked at my paystub and 300 fuckin dollars was taken off for STATE TAXES. I'm royally pissed rn.

It would only be fair for California to take off $300 or more from my payroll if I am making a stable income like every parent in my neighborhood. But this is a fast food job I'm working at right now, not an office or some sort of industrial job that makes over $60k a year. My salary would be less than half of $60k per year.

That doesn’t sound right, like at all. You should probably get up to someone about it. I live in California and make around $700 before taxes and in my 5 years working in the same place, I’ve never had state taxes taken more than $30. For the record I usually have around $250-300 taken out via state and federal, and retirement and benefits
