Note to anyone who wants the free balloon day badge for being logged in today, you have to actually log in, not just be logged in already. (log out then back in)

You have it. Something I missed was that if you were logged in at midnight when the day started you got the badge. I think mine was a special case that slipped through the cracks. I wasn't on at the very start of the day, and I have it set to keep me logged in so I don't have to every time I get on. So I guess it didn't know to give me the badge until I relogged.
