       It's something that's always confused me since they're supposed to be (almost) copies of each other.

      There’s an individual management system for each park and I think Imagineering is often subject to it rather than being applied to each park equally. Some changes (like ruining the original Pirates of the Caribbean) wasn’t adopted by Walt Disney World until long after Disneyland management forced the change. The original Disneyland seems to be at the cutting edge of doing things wrong (or avoiding what’s right) all by themselves.
