Just to let you guys know, we've pushed the deadline back until the 20th. 2 extra days to make your submissions the best they can be!

Ugh, this is a post I hope I didn't have to write. If you've read our terms, you'll know that we've taken a hard stance against stealing tracks. Well, I've just had to write an email to one of our entrants explaining why he is now banned from all Pony.fm contests. These things only work well when people play fair. We don't have any Content ID system to detect stolen tracks, luckily we have a group of hard working people who know the brony music scene like the back of their hand. Let me make this very clear, I love the community, you guys put out some great content. But if you're going to steal someone else's track, change the name and album art, and upload it to your account, just to try and make a quick buck. You have no place in this community. The whole point of this contest is to reward our creators, big and small. To do something nice for the holidays. We're reviewing every track submitted to the Hearth's Warming Contest for copyright infringement. I don't want to have to write another post like this.

We want to be as transparent as possible so we're releasing our Judging Criteria to let you guys know how you'll be graded. View the spreadsheet here All songs submitted will be judged under these categories from 0-10. These scores are averaged out until we have an average per category, then these averages are totalled up to give us the score for each track. If you have any questions or concerns about our scoring system, let us know

Sorry man In order to keep things fair, there's a clause in the terms, specifically this one "Members of Poniverse are allowed to enter this contest with the exception of those who are directly connected with the administration or development of Pony.fm and/or administration or judging of this contest." So anyone who is involved with Pony.fm can't compete, want to avoid suspicion of rigging

In case you haven't seen, Poniverse just announce Making Christmas Merrier V, our fifth annual charity drive. We're aiming to raise $3000 for Charity: Water. MCM is our big annual charity drive for the holidays. If you're interested you can check out the thread over here to donate. Oh and as we raise money, we'll be announcing some stretch goals. Get your music making skills ready because Pony.fm is launching a special contest for the Christmas season! Do you think you can produce the best Christmas/Hearth's Warming song? We’re holding a song contest to find the best Hearth’s Warming songs this season. They can be original songs or remixes of some of the show’s songs from the Hearth’s Warming episodes. To submit, just upload a track to Pony.fm between now and the 18th of December and make sure to check "Submit to Hearth's Warming Contest" in the track editor. The best three songs made by you will be featured on the homepage of Pony.fm on the week of Christmas and you’ll be receiving an Amazon gift voucher ($50 for 1st place, $25 for 2nd and $10 for 3rd). Songs that are not featured in the homepage will be put into a Hearth's Warming playlist for all to enjoy. Submissions are open right now! I used to use IntelliJ Idea for it's autocomplete but it was lagging a bit for me. I've switched to Atom now with a few plugins and it's going really well for web development

That's a really cool idea. I'll take a look and see if I can get something like that up and running

I'm not seeing any errors. It might be your track metadata. Pony.fm doesn't like tracks with bizarre metadata. Try to remove all tags from you file and re-upload. If you're still running into issues, email me at logic@pony.fm

Nope. To prevent against impersonation we don't allow regular users to upload tracks to other artist's accounts. If you're a music artist and want access to an archived account and can prove your identity then we can set that up

Its not your file that's causing the issue. We're getting a bunch of server issues right now Could you try uploading your file again? I think we've got it sorted

I'll take a look into this Sorry about how long this has taken. Your track is working now. We had an issue with our audio encoder which has been resolved now

The more active amongst you might have already noticed our new stats page for tracks. This feature which is still in beta, allows anyone to view detailed information on a track's performance. To access this, head to any track page and click on the "View more stats" button. Currently we have one stat available, plays over time. For tracks that are under a day old, you will see plays per hour. All other tracks will have the last 30 days of plays displayed. We're adding more stats soon, let us know what you want to see next
