  1. Thank you guys! I really appreciate it. It's a real shame that my image doesn't seem to want to be showing up, but I suppose that's alright for the time being.
  2. I can definitely see that you've got a really great artistic flow and the start of a very unique style, which is fantastic! Honestly, the only real suggestion I can give you is actually to stop actively looking for a style. Your hand is going to want to do something that your eyes might disagree with, but you'll find in time that it's better to trust your hands more than your eyes because your eyes are impressionable and will want to draw with too much influence from another artist's work. It's totally alright to play around with different methods occasionally, because you might find that it comes more naturally than what you already do, but if you force out a style it just won't help you reach a place where your style is entirely your own. Your current style is very pretty. It's got a lot of direction and the anatomy is pretty good from what I can see, but this is an outside opinion and ultimately only you can make the decision to be happy with your style.
  3. These vectors are absolutely fantastic! I can't manage the show style for the life of me, honestly. Would you consider a trade at some point, perhaps? I'm working on a drawing of my character right now, and I'll be able to show you plenty of examples. I just couldn't possibly ask for work without giving something in exchange.
  4. My absolute, least favorite thing about being an artist is that sometimes, pretty much as soon as you're done with a piece, you no longer feel good about what you created. I know that it's a completely natural part of the process because it's really just because you've made improvements in your ability throughout the course of your drawing, but it's still pretty unfortunate.
  5. Emotions are a vital part of any person's emotional security, and expressing those emotions are also very healthy. In fact, not expressing those emotions can lead to physical health problems later down the road. This includes all of the emotions though. Anger, sadness, etc all play an important role in our development and ability to process. When upset, we become more aware of inequalities. Obviously that might not be great in releasing your upset, but it's a pretty major social check. When you cry, you release an enormous buildup of energy. It can be your body's way of telling people that you're in need of help or that there's something you need to deal with. Other than this though, your tears also contain an amount of stress hormones and toxins, so crying can effectively expel some that. People with anxiety are more likely to need to cry more frequently because of this, and people who are very empathetic are also more prone. In short, crying in general is more of a good thing than a bad thing.
  6. Hey there, everybody c: I suppose I'm new then, aren't I? Well, I've been a brony (pegasister) for years now, but I used to be much more heavily involved in the fandom and only recently got that spark back in the last few weeks. I used to have an account here forever ago, but I can't remember how to get into it and I've changed so much that I might as well be a new person altogether. I was a little bit nervous about posting before I've got a proper OC and profile image up, but I do have the start of one at the very least. I absolutely adore character creation, so I'm sure I'll be making more than one, but the first one I'm working on is a unicorn named Green Tealeaf, and her special talent is in potion making. I intend for her to be my primary character, but I still have to work out some details such as where she comes from. For now though, here's a super sketchy work in progress image of her headshot! So, about me. You guys might choose to know me as Enii, Wisp, Tea or Tealeaf. I'm a young, aspiring digital+traditional artist who specializes in character conceptualization and tattoo design. I'm not a professional by any stretch of the imagination yet, but I hope to get to that level in the future. For the meantime though, my plans for the future consist of going to university for a degree in the psychology field, that way I can keep my artwork as a freelance endeavor primarily. After going to school, I'd like to apprentice to learn how to tattoo properly. On my free time, I enjoy roleplay and Dungeons&Dragons. I'd like to think that I'm a pretty literate roleplayer. I am always welcome to friendly messages, so feel free at any time! My art user on DA and most other websites is EnigmaticWisp. I am also a furry, so expect to see a fair deal of anthro artwork from me.
