I dont think I've ever asked this question before, but which game / console did you grew up with? for me, it was the Nintendo 64
man, listening to some of these ol nintendo 64 soundtracks with only my right ear-phone gives me nostalgia. reminds of when I used to play the Nintendo 64 on the ol boxy TV (yeah, it was one of the first color TVs they ever made here in Australia and most of the channels were...white noise or too fuzzy to make out. used to watch A TON of ol VHS tapes on that TV. F*cking LOVED IT!!! had A LOT of fond memories with that TV), and it only had a right speaker. Now, whenever I listen to some of these music tracks with my ear-phones, it sounds nothing like it. (insert just bout every music track from Ocarina Of Time and Majora's Mask)
(this is probably the best example. if you've got a pair of head-phones and ya listen with only your right ear, it sounds completely different than when you have the both of em in your ears. but yeah. this is how I heard it back in the day ^w^)
Well, that's because I had no left speaker, so yeah. of course it's gonna sound different =P I might be an adult, but listening to these old tracks makes me feel like a kid again. ^w^ the N64 was my child-hood, and something that I'll deeply cherish. the only thing I can say is never under-estimate the power of the N64 Sound-font. Seriously, I could play the N64 for eternity and never get bored of it. you can keep your modern consoles. I'll stick with the classics, thanks ^^ there's something...charming bout the blockiness of the early 3D models. I kinda wish I knew how to set up project 64, but I'm not that smart when it comes to computers...
