...and yes, for those of you who dont know, the eurovision song contest is next month, and these are the guys that'll be representing us on the world stage. now THAT's what I'm talking about. I dont think it'll beat hard rock hallelujah from 2006 or dark side from 2021, but we certainly need more metal bands / rock concerts in eurovision. just saying.

I just wanna say that no matter how old I get, I'll always be a kid at heart.  heck, when I start living by myself, the only thing I'll be watching is kids cartoons (I mean, that's how I got into My Little Pony in the first place) and anime...and action movies from time to time, to balance things out. I never, ever wanna lose my childhood innocence. it's pretty much the only thing that keeps me positive. well, that and the friends that I have on here. I just wanna say that I love each and every one of you and I appreciate all of the reactions / comments in my status updates. for too long, I've had negative emotions. it's bout time that I cast them aside and try to look at the positive side of things ^^ 

So, you're probably wondering: what has got me in such a good mood?  well...if you really wanna know the answer, a couple of days ago, hasbro pulse had a transformers live-stream showing their latest products and one of those toys that was revealed was none other than...Armada Megatron.

while my memory of the cartoon was extremely vauge (the only things I remember was Optimus had a super mode and starscream defected to the autobots because he was sick and tired of being pushed around by the decepticons), the toys were a BIG part of my childhood. I remember my Neighbour had the entire collection and I was SO jealous. I f*cking LOVE the transformers armada toy line up and I may be a lil biased saying this, but this was the best toy line up they ever made. you can combine certain transformers to make them even bigger and I just LOVE how the mini-cons would turn into weapons and unlock secret modes that some of the figures had. it was like an added bonus

whenever I take a look at some of these toys, I immediately feel like a kid again, and this is a toy that I HAVE to get. 20 or so years ago, I was unable to get most of these toys because I was a kid and most of them were quite expensive. now, this is my opportunity to get modern versions of the toys that I grew up with. Oh, and I've been watching a bunch of cartoons. hehehe. 

...and I'm happy to say I'm back from my very long hiatus ^w^ so yeah, if you know of any good cartoons, please let me know

I JUST CAUGHT A SHINY IRON THORNS (future form Tyranitar) WITH AN ADAMANT NATURE!!!!!! ^w^ LET'S GO!!!!!! 

...and I literally found it in 3 mins using the '10 min strat' I came up with a couple of hours ago. to me, this thing is the holy grail. FINALLY!!!!!! I got MECHAGODZILLA in Pokemon Violet!!!!!! 

so, for those of you who are shiny hunting in Scarlet and Violet without the shiny charm, lemme give you a tip:

create your shiny hunting sandwich (you dont have to use salty herba mystica. Heck, I used a spicy herba mystica and a bitter herba mystica to get this) and shiny hunt the pokemon you're after for 10 mins.

if the pokemon does not appear within 10 mins, chances are, it wont appear within the remaining 20 minutes. if you dont find a shiny within 10 mins, simply reset and try again. the way I see it is that the game pre-calculates whether or not you'll get a shiny + this saves you 20 mins from disappointment. to give you an idea of how effective it is, I managed to find 3 shiny thorns within half an hour using this method. yeah, it's pretty effective. prior to this strat, these things would not want to appear. this is a MUCH faster method at shiny hunting for those who do not have the shiny charm, like me. if you want to get one with a specific nature, I highly recommend using this strat. ^^

well, this cured my depression. After MANY attempts, I FINALLY caught a shiny riolu with a Modest nature!!!  

the cool thing bout Riolu is that it's not bound to just being a physical attacker or a special attacker. it can be both. so yeah, I wanted to get one with either a timid / modest nature or an adamant / jolly nature. it's also got 31 ivs in its HP!!!  ohh man, I cant wait to evolve this thing into a shiny lucario this is the 5th PERFECT shiny I've caught in scarlet and violet

hey guys ^^ what are you looking forward to the most in 2023? as for me?  well...

In the world of motorsport, Ford has made a couple of BIG changes for 2023. first up, they managed to steal Shane Van Gisbergen's co-driver, Garth Tander. that is HUGE!!! He is one of the best co-drivers in the field and he is a former bathurst winner. the real question is will they pair him up with Davey (A.K.A my favourite driver) OR will they pair him up with Matt Payne? I have a feeling it's gonna be with Matt Payne. he is gonna play the mentor role as he makes his debut in the championship.

IF they pair him up with David Reynolds, that is gonna be one of THE strongest combinations for this years Bathurst 1000. I didnt think they'd be able to get garth tander, so this came off as a BIG surprise! :O

 the Former factory holden team (Walkinshaw Andretti United) has made the switch to Ford. I honestly cant wait to see how they perform. It'd be hilarious to see them out-perform Dick Johnson Johnson Racing Team and become the leading Ford team.

...and we got Todd Hazelwood. he'll be replacing Tim Slade. IMO, he is a much better driver than Tim Slade, and with a really good car, I wouldnt be surprised if he is in the top 10. 

One thing's for sure: ALL of the GM teams have got their work cut out for them.

Former factory Audi team WRT has made the switch to BMW in the off season. idk what is the reasoning behind it, but I am glad they went from one of the most over-represented brands on the grid to one of the most UNDER-represented brands on the grid. I used to HATE WRT simply because they drove for Audi. most of the Audi fans in GT3 are pretty toxic, so yeah. I'm glad they've made the switch. the only team BMW has in GT World Challenge is Rowe Racing. that's it. I'm pretty happy that now I can support these guys.  I will be honest, I havent been watching GT3 cuz it's become kinda boring.  

(their first outing will be at the 24 hours of dubai on the 14th, followed by the Bathurst 12 hour in February) 

...and I cant wait for the Daytona 24. the last couple of years, IMSA / the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship has been pretty boring. after mazda left the category in 2021, it became a two-horse race between Honda and GM. now, you've got Porsche and BMW, and Lamborghini has announced they'll race in 2024. well, it's good to see the company actually race a car they built themselves instead of a re-badged Audi R8. I'll be supporting Porsche and BMW. I dont like GM. I am a FORD fan, so...yeah.  (not only that, Team Penske, who used to own 50% of Dick Johnson Racing will race the Porsche LMDH Prototype, and there are rumours floating around that my favourite driver, Scott McLaughlin COULD become a factory Porsche driver in the future... O.O)

As for movies? well, there's the sequel to the bumblebee movie (I wasn't the biggest fan of this movie. all of the cybertronian scenes were nice, but the rest of the movie felt like a carbon copy of Iron Giant), the super mario movie (after watching the first two trailers, I'm kinda iffy bout it. I'm gonna remain optimistic, but......I dunno if I'll go and see this movie. we'll have to wait and see what everyone says bout this movie.) and what is going to be the last indiana jones movie. I'm a little big skeptical bout it, now that LucasFilm is under the control of disney. I thought The Kingdon Of The Crystal Skull was the last movie in the franchise. I have a BAD feeling they're gonna screw this up. I mean, just take a look at the sequel trilogy. but yeah, lots of movies to watch this year!!! 

I for one, am really excited bout the brand new godzilla movie that's coming out of japan later this year. it's been 8 years since Toho made a live action godzilla movie. I've grown to appreciate the monsterverse, but I still prefer the ones made by Toho. 

I noticed they released a bunch of short films using suitmation. Just recently, they released a clip of Final Wars goji going up against show gigan, and the year before that, they put him up against hedorah. okay, I know these films were made to celebrate the 50th anniversary of godzilla vs hedorah and Godzilla vs Gigan and it was just for fun, but it makes me wonder if they'll continue to use CGI like they did with Shin Godzilla OR they'll give the fans what they want, and go back to suitmation? I had a feeling they were gonna do something for his 70th anniversary. Look, I know there's A LOT of people who's into the monsterverse and over-time, the design has grown on me, but it's not the most intimidating design out there. when you take a look at shin, it looks like it came out of a creepy-pasta. he's supposed to be terrifying. I cant wait to see what he looks like!!! 

Speaking of Anime, I cant wait to watch the brand new pokemon anime. if you havent caught up with the news, they're planning to get rid of ash ketchum and team rocket. FINALLY!!! IT'S BOUT TIME. I’m glad the pokemon company has finally got the balls to say: ‘we’re done with ash and pikachu’.

It has always been the same thing: ash wants to become a pokemon master and they have to stick team rocket in every single filler episode cuz they can't come up with any new, bright ideas / they want to play it safe. That’s why I stopped watching it. in kanto and johto, they were the villians in that region, so it made sense. It was okay in hoenn, cuz it was something different. After watching the diamond and pearl anime, it got old pretty fast (well, that and the fact that they changed their motto.) it’s bout time they got rid of ash and team rocket. to me, this is a dream come true. this is something that I wanted for YEARS!!! ^^

They’ve shown in the past that they CAN make a pokemon anime WITHOUT Ash or Team Rocket. Just take a look at pokemon origins, pokemon chronicles, and all of the various pokemon shorts that scattered across their youtube channel. Now, they can afford to take it in any direction they want. Heck, they can make it incredibly dark if they want to.

OH, and MF Ghost. that means MORE EUROBEAT BABY!!!!!! LET'S GO!!!!!! ^w^

...and last but not least, I've got a rough idea of what I'm gonna buy this year. I got $280 from my family, and I gonna save that for the SH Figuarts Venom, and the SH Figuarts Black Adam. (I shall split it in half and then pay off the rest) I dont normally buy SH Figuarts, so this'll be a first. I'll use one of my $50 gift cards to buy Pokemon Scarlet and I'll save the other for the DLC that'll be potentially coming out later this year. as for the $30 gift card? I am gonna spend it on the Black Adam Funko Pop. I aint gonna get Nintendo Switch Online UNLESS they release a raid for hisuian pokemon or something like that. Unfortunately, I had no choice but to use my 7-day free trial to get access to that 7-star cinderace raid, but it was totally worth it. ^^ 

EDIT: and I just found a $50 Gift card lying around in my room. Well, I can use that to get NSO, if I really want to. ehh, I'll think I'll save that til they release a raid event where I can catch the hisuian forms OR til they release the DLC. 

well, I just got a shiny cyclizar in 6 mins using the herba mystica method ^^ 

yeah, shiny cyclizar is not an easy shiny to get. I've seen A LOT of people FAIL to get one 

Unlike most of the people who were actively searching for it, I took it nice and easy. ^w^ honestly, I was surprised I managed to get in under 6 mins. :O I thought my shiny luck ran out after catching that Espathra.  this is my 8th shiny so far ^^ well, that is the very first shiny hunt I've ever done SUCCESSFULLY!!! I'm pretty happy bout that :3

Well, I was goin out for a little stroll and I came across a Shiny Espathra in Scarlet and Violet!!! ^w^ this is my 7th shiny I've caught so far!!! 

IMO, this is one of the better shinies in scarlet and violet  it's got a Rash nature, which is...not the worst nature out there. at least it boosts special attack. I can make it work. I mean, it's a glass cannon, so I dont have to worry bout its special defense. if I really want to, I can change it with a Mint. tis no big deal. this is one of the shinies that I really want, so I'm really happy that I managed to get one 

What's funny is I was going around all of the Tera Raid dens, tryna find 5 start raid dens that my Iron Hands could beat (Rock, Normal, Ice, Steel and Dark) so I could get an ability patch for my Skeledirge, and that's when I saw it. 

Uhh...I just caught a shiny paldean Tarous??? O.O ......yeah, I was tryna gather some fairy tera crystals and I decided to take on this Tauros. despite it being a 5 star raid, it was an incredibly EASY fight, and a really glitchy one at that. 

(I think the image speaks for itself. the camera did not cut away from the fight and the tauros was invisible when I was terastilizing. it was only after I'd fully terastilized my revavroom that it came back O.O)

when I caught it, I noticed the mane was grey. there was a part of me that said: "is this a shiny??? ...nah...I must be hallucinating". it was only when I looked at it in the box, it had the shiny icon next to it. 

Okay, can you guys seriously tell the difference between the regular and the shiny? cuz I cant. O_O

I think I got one of the rarest shinies in the game, by accident. under normal circumstances, you cannot find the version exclusive variant UNLESS you eat a certain sandwich, and even then, you only have 30 mins to find one. yeah, good luck tryna find one in a crowd of tauros. I'm still in utter disbelief as to what happened a couple of hours ago. I really not not know it was a shiny until I caught it. maybe it's for the best that I didnt know, otherwise that would've put a lot more pressure on me. it was also THE easiest 5 star raid I've ever dealt with. all it did was use headbutt, and surf. that's it. the only reason it knocked out my revavroom was because I accidentally managed to land a crit and it had anger point as its ability. luckily, it was really low on health. hecc, I didnt even know it knocked out my revavroom cuz it was still stuck on the battle screen. I was just stunned by how glitchy this fight was. this will go down as the glitchiest fight I've ever seen in a pokemon game, and this is one of THE rarest shinies I've ever caught O.O

I think once the dust has settled, that is when I'll truly appreciate just how rare it is =P 

Well, I just came back from my uncles place. ^^ got a stack of cash from my family ($100 from my parents, and $125 from my uncle and auntie) and $130 worth of gift cards, AND I already know what I'm gonna spend it on.  

- $100 for the SH Figuarts Venom that's coming out next month...

- $100 for the SH Figuarts Black Adam that's coming next year (I'll use a lil bit of my savings to pay off the rest for both of these figures. they're $175 each)

(I cant wait to get my hands on these figures!!!)  

- Since I got TWO $50 gift cards to spend at JB-HI-FI, I'll use them to buy Pokemon Scarlet.

I'll have $30 left over to buy something. It's either gonna be a Drifter motorcycle for my Ghost Rider figure...IF it's still available...

I was trying to get a marill with an adamant nature with a water tera type so I can use it against 6 star raids, and I had a hunch that I'd bump into a shiny, and it would be a shiny paldean wooper. WHAT A COINCIDENCE!!! XD ohh man, I'm SO happy.  this is my 5th LEGIT shiny I've caught so far.  (the others were: Oinkologne, Klefki, Snover and Sneasel) If this is supposed to be an early christmas present, I'LL TAKE IT!!! this might be the best shiny I've caught so far!!! ^^

It's got a Sassy nature, which is...not a bad nature for it. I mean, it is slow to begin with, and its special defense is pretty good. I can make it work Eeeee!!! I'm SO friggin happy!!! ^w^

as for tis evolved form, Clodsire, well...it's a bit lighter in color, but I dont care. I freaking LOVE clodsire!!! and to have a shiny version of it is...*chef's kiss* 

I just found a SHINY OINKOLOGNE in Pokemon Violet!!! :O 

(I was trying to find the version exclusive paldean tauros, and I bumped into this / and I see a white Oinkologne, walking around... )

hey guys ^^ sorry I've been a lil inactive lately.  I'm still getting over the death of my HP, I've ran out of things to post, I've been out and about, trying to get a figure of black adam WITHOUT any defects / in PERFECT condition, I'm watching My Hero Academia with my girl-friend, and for the most part, the FIFA world cup / pokemon scarlet and violet has kept me occupied. 

...and there's a couple of MLP Tell Your Tale episodes that I still need to watch. ^^ it'll be alright. I know where I'm at. I'll eventually get around to it. 

So, how've you been and what've you all been up to? 

well, my HP Omen is officially dead.  yep, the S button has stopped working. completely. Now, I'm using the MSI Katana I bought a couple of months ago / all the way back in July. overall, it looks pretty similar to my HP. I'd say it's a little smaller than my HP. that's okay. one thing's for sure: it's a lot more powerful than my old laptop. Yeah, I'm just re-installing everythin. it was bout time I got rid of that old HP. has been causing me nothing but trouble. My girl-friend and my computer friend gave me the suggestion to go and pick up an MSI. ^^ hopefully, it'll be A LOT better than my HP when it comes to gaming. ^^

Ohh man, I am so excited bout the FIFA World Cup (I'll be supporting Australia A.K.A the Socceroos and Croatia. I am quarter Croatian from my dads side ^^) and I am equally nervous bout Scarlet and Violet. I've seen my friend play a little bit of it, and......yeah. let's just say I'll have to re-invent my play-style. for the first time EVER, I will have to go on the defensive, and play competitively. without spoiling anything, the opponent will always be several levels higher than you, and they've made it in such a way where you can't over-level your pokemon, other-wise, they wont obey you. so yeah, in the past, I'd have a bunch of glass-cannons on my team and over-level my pokemon so I can steam-roll through the game. unfortunately, that is not gonna be the case for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. I'll have to build a team that supports each-other, and I'll only have bulky 'mons on my team. so yeah, this is not gonna be easy, but it presents an interesting challenge.  ...and I'm up for it!!! 

(this is literally the theme that'll be playing in my head when I'm going up against an opponent that is several higher than me.)
