Okay, I know things have been pretty quiet around here, but I am pretty excited bout some of the things that are coming up. a few days ago, I just finished watching season 2 of Make Your Mark and I feel like the show is NOW starting to dive into the plot. the most recent episode of Tell Your Tale is just a rehash of what happened in the final episode of Season 2. nevertheless, it was a pretty good episode. I'm glad that I watched it before I watched the most recent episode of tell your tale. so far, it's been all over the place. I wish there was a site that'd keep track of everything. but yeah, nah. I will admit, G5 has had a pretty slow start, but it has progressively gotten better and better and better. I look forward to see what happens next
I got a question: which design do you prefer? :O the 2D design or the 3D design? O.O
(me personally, I prefer the 2D designs. to me, there is something...unsettling about the 3D designs. the way I see it, it's RTX ON VS RTX OFF LMAO XD)
I cant wait to watch the 24 hours of Spa this weekend. My mate, Chaz Mostert will be racing in the PRO-AM class. I am really curious to see how he performs.
for sure, they'll be one of the strongest teams in PRO-AM, but I kinda wish they were racing in the top class. oh well, it is what it is. 
the team has won the bathurst 12 hours in the recent past, and chaz mostert has won the daytona 24 (in his class) in 2021, so they're no strangers to endurance racing / I dont see why they cant win in PRO-AM. they'll racing in the SunEnergy1 Mercedes.
next year is gonna be A LOT more interesting, with the introduction of the Ford Mustang GT3. I stopped watching GT3 last year because it gets kinda boring after a while. when you've got all of the typical supercar brands going up against each-other......yeah, it becomes a bit of a snooze-fest. the only reason why I was watching GT3 in the first place was because of the Bentley. the funny thing is the team that was running the Bentley in GTworld challenge europe is making a come-back, and they'll be racing the mustang next year. FINALLY!!!
after all these years, I now have a team / brand that I can get behind. ^^ but for now, I will be cheering on my mate, chaz mostert. .png ":)")

Spoiler...and last but not least, the count-down to the next film in the godzilla franchise. yes, it's been 8 long years, but toho (the original creators of Godzilla) is finally releasing another live-action godzilla film. on their twitter page, they're doing a count-down, going through all of the previous godzilla films, leading up to the original. there is a lot of speculation that the name of the film / the design will be released on the 11th of July :O without giving too much away, the working title for this film is 'Godzilla Zero' and it will be set between 1945 to 1947, right after the bombing of hiroshima and nagasaki. there is also speculation that the 'G' symbol that we got last year is "the design" they're gonna use for the king of the monsters.
I dont know about that, but here's an artist's impression of what it's gonna look like if it it's really based on the 'G' symbol that we got from godzilla day last year, promoting the film :O

tbh, I am more excited bout this film than the up-coming monsterverse film.
other than that, I've just been watching transformers armada, re-living my child-hood. I am SO happy that they're making modern versions of the toys I grew up with. when I was at Big-W a few days ago, they had a legacy armada optimus prime for $140. I wanna get it, but it's way too expensive atm, so that's why I'm getting megatron (he's $95 at JB-HI-FI, but I have a $5 note, a $50 JB-HI-FI Gift Card and placed a $10 deposit, so it's actually $30). when ya compare him to the original, he's perfect. I cant wait to start fiddling around with him when he arrives.

I prefer the 2D designs too – there's something cute and cartoony about it that CGI just can't match.
Though I prefer MYM in general for the most part. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks G5 has got better – I actually found A New Generation unremarkable, it took me months to get back to anything besides TYT (it was short enough to watch without much interest 
). Almost every part of MYM has been more to my liking than it was.
Yay for racing!
Sadly, MotoGP won't be on for a month, but it's another F1 weekend.

I still prefer the 3D designs, because at least they look like ponies. The 2D models might be better animation, but the faces look like human faces to me. Only some characters, like Zipp, actually have a pony face. The promotional 2D images that were made before G5 was released had way better character designs.
I am glad you are enjoying TYT. I quit a long time ago. If TYT is getting progressively better, it's because I heard the creative teams are starting to change their mind and make TYT the main series instead. Not sure if that's true; it's just what I heard.
And I can't wait for more Goji~!

I think this might be the best episode of Tell Your Tale. :O If you havent seen this episode, I highly recommend you go and watch it. the only thing I'm gonna say is, you're in for a treat ^^ I'm not gonna spoil anything for those of you who havent seen it. lets just say there's a BIG plot twist at the end of the episode. :3
I'm surprised they've managed to cram so much in 5 mins. if anything, this feels like an episode of FIM. yep, it's THAT good. I really hope they keep going in this direction. it's bout time they've started to dive deeper into the plot <3

As for the new kid on the block A.K.A Tell Your Tale, they've done a pretty good job fleshing out the main characters (especially Pipp and Zipp) and I enjoy watching the episodes from time to time. MAN, why is 80s music so good!? O.O the first time I heard this song was from an episode of regular show:
even tho I did not know the name of the song, this was the song that was playing in my head at the time (well, the opening part of it) when I was trying to get a shiny fuecoco. (thanks to the super mario bros movie, now I know the name of the song) ^^
if anything, this is the un-official theme of my shiny skeledirge. this theme signifies all of the failed attempts I had to go through and the triumph of obtaining the shiny. ^^ this is THE longest shiny hunt I've ever done in a pokemon game, but it was totally worth it
to get a shiny of the starter that I used in my play-through of pokemon violet was extremely rewarding .png "B)")

...and yes, for those of you who dont know, the eurovision song contest is next month, and these are the guys that'll be representing us on the world stage. now THAT's what I'm talking about. I dont think it'll beat hard rock hallelujah from 2006 or dark side from 2021, but we certainly need more metal bands / rock concerts in eurovision. just saying.

I'm disappointed too, but for the exact opposite reason. Finland number one in televoting (only for the second time ever), and the juries overruled it. A better result than I'd ever have expected, but the way it happened soured it for me (if Sweden had won the televote too, I'd be very happy with second). Probably the last time we'll ever come this close.
The Australian entry was one where I agreed more with the juries, though. Otherwise they seemed to vote down everything that wasn't typical Eurovision.

yeah, sweden just kept on racking up points and the song wasnt even that good tbh. okay, I was disappointed that we didnt finish inside the top 5 but...man, I feel sorry for germany. D: they didnt deserve to finish dead last. IMO, it was HEAPS better than A LOT of the entries this year. they deserved better. eurovision NEEDS more rock concerts / metal bands D:

I just wanna say that no matter how old I get, I'll always be a kid at heart.
heck, when I start living by myself, the only thing I'll be watching is kids cartoons (I mean, that's how I got into My Little Pony in the first place) and anime...and action movies from time to time, to balance things out. I never, ever wanna lose my childhood innocence. it's pretty much the only thing that keeps me positive. well, that and the friends that I have on here. I just wanna say that I love each and every one of you and I appreciate all of the reactions / comments in my status updates. for too long, I've had negative emotions. it's bout time that I cast them aside and try to look at the positive side of things ^^
So, you're probably wondering: what has got me in such a good mood?
well...if you really wanna know the answer, a couple of days ago, hasbro pulse had a transformers live-stream showing their latest products and one of those toys that was revealed was none other than...Armada Megatron.
while my memory of the cartoon was extremely vauge (the only things I remember was Optimus had a super mode and starscream defected to the autobots because he was sick and tired of being pushed around by the decepticons), the toys were a BIG part of my childhood. I remember my Neighbour had the entire collection and I was SO jealous. I f*cking LOVE the transformers armada toy line up and I may be a lil biased saying this, but this was the best toy line up they ever made. you can combine certain transformers to make them even bigger and I just LOVE how the mini-cons would turn into weapons and unlock secret modes that some of the figures had. it was like an added bonus

whenever I take a look at some of these toys, I immediately feel like a kid again, and this is a toy that I HAVE to get. 20 or so years ago, I was unable to get most of these toys because I was a kid and most of them were quite expensive. now, this is my opportunity to get modern versions of the toys that I grew up with. Oh, and I've been watching a bunch of cartoons. hehehe.
...and I'm happy to say I'm back from my very long hiatus ^w^ so yeah, if you know of any good cartoons, please let me know

@Rikifive well, Disney wanted EVERYTHING on Disney +, and apparently, national geographic was owned by Disney. first, they took away Disney XD back in 2017 / 2018, they've destroyed multiple franchises (Star Wars, marvel and even their own franchise thanks to identity politics and poor decision making / not respecting the fans) just so they can make money, and now this. (not only that, they've taken away the simpsons) I remember all those years ago when they announced they've bought the rights to lucas film. at the time, there was a lot of people who gave this a chance.
I didnt. I knew this was gonna be a shit-show. Star Wars is supposed to be dark and serious. the only thing Disney is good at is making children's cartoons. that's it. I never grew up watching any of the classic disney films, so I never had any attachment to the franchise, but now...I know exactly how the star wars fans feel bout disney.

yeah, I dunno why these shows even exist. the last time I watched anything that was made by disney was kim possible back in the mid-late 2000s, and that was back when they had saturday disney at 9 o clock. man, those were the days. I feel like it has to do with modern censorship and all of the soccer mums. that's why everything is so watered down these days, especially if you take a look at all of the remakes. not only that, I feel like everyone is playing it safe. nobody wants to try to make something new, and that's what I hate bout cartoons / tv shows / movies these days.

I JUST CAUGHT A SHINY IRON THORNS (future form Tyranitar) WITH AN ADAMANT NATURE!!!!!! ^w^ LET'S GO!!!!!!
...and I literally found it in 3 mins using the '10 min strat' I came up with a couple of hours ago. to me, this thing is the holy grail. FINALLY!!!!!! I got MECHAGODZILLA in Pokemon Violet!!!!!!
so, for those of you who are shiny hunting in Scarlet and Violet without the shiny charm, lemme give you a tip:
create your shiny hunting sandwich (you dont have to use salty herba mystica. Heck, I used a spicy herba mystica and a bitter herba mystica to get this) and shiny hunt the pokemon you're after for 10 mins.
if the pokemon does not appear within 10 mins, chances are, it wont appear within the remaining 20 minutes. if you dont find a shiny within 10 mins, simply reset and try again. the way I see it is that the game pre-calculates whether or not you'll get a shiny + this saves you 20 mins from disappointment. to give you an idea of how effective it is, I managed to find 3 shiny thorns within half an hour using this method. yeah, it's pretty effective. prior to this strat, these things would not want to appear. this is a MUCH faster method at shiny hunting for those who do not have the shiny charm, like me. if you want to get one with a specific nature, I highly recommend using this strat. ^^

bout an hour ago, I just caught a shiny espeon with Modest nature in less than a minute ^w^ and it's got a mark. normally, I dont pay attetion to these, but my one was got something special: the early riser mark. Idk bout you, but that is the PERFECT mark for espeon considering that you can only evolve it in the day-time. this shiny is the first shiny to have a mark, the first shiny eeveelution I've caught, the 10th perfect shiny I've got and possibly the last shiny of January ^^

...and I just caught TWO more shiny salazzle. 90 seconds after I caught the first and 10 mins after I caught the 2nd one, AND THE 3RD ONE HAS A TIMID NATURE!!! WHAT THE F*CK IS GOING ON!?!? THE LUCK!!!!!! O_O if this is supposed to be the LAST shiny of January, what a send-off!!!!!!

well, this cured my depression. After MANY attempts, I FINALLY caught a shiny riolu with a Modest nature!!!
the cool thing bout Riolu is that it's not bound to just being a physical attacker or a special attacker. it can be both. so yeah, I wanted to get one with either a timid / modest nature or an adamant / jolly nature. it's also got 31 ivs in its HP!!!
ohh man, I cant wait to evolve this thing into a shiny lucario this is the 5th PERFECT shiny I've caught in scarlet and violet

In the world of motorsport, Ford has made a couple of BIG changes for 2023. first up, they managed to steal Shane Van Gisbergen's co-driver, Garth Tander. that is HUGE!!! He is one of the best co-drivers in the field and he is a former bathurst winner. the real question is will they pair him up with Davey (A.K.A my favourite driver) OR will they pair him up with Matt Payne? I have a feeling it's gonna be with Matt Payne. he is gonna play the mentor role as he makes his debut in the championship.
IF they pair him up with David Reynolds, that is gonna be one of THE strongest combinations for this years Bathurst 1000. the Former factory holden team (Walkinshaw Andretti United) has made the switch to Ford. I honestly cant wait to see how they perform. It'd be hilarious to see them out-perform Dick Johnson Johnson Racing Team and become the leading Ford team.
...and we got Todd Hazelwood. he'll be replacing Tim Slade. IMO, he is a much better driver than Tim Slade, and with a really good car, I wouldnt be surprised if he is in the top 10.
One thing's for sure: ALL of the GM teams have got their work cut out for them.
Former factory Audi team WRT has made the switch to BMW in the off season. idk what is the reasoning behind it, but I am glad they went from one of the most over-represented brands on the grid to one of the most UNDER-represented brands on the grid. I used to HATE WRT simply because they drove for Audi. most of the Audi fans in GT3 are pretty toxic, so yeah. I'm glad they've made the switch. the only team BMW has in GT World Challenge is Rowe Racing. that's it. I'm pretty happy that now I can support these guys.
I will be honest, I havent been watching GT3 cuz it's become kinda boring. 
(their first outing will be at the 24 hours of dubai on the 14th, followed by the Bathurst 12 hour in February)
...and I cant wait for the Daytona 24. the last couple of years, IMSA / the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship has been pretty boring. after mazda left the category in 2021, it became a two-horse race between Honda and GM. now, you've got Porsche and BMW, and Lamborghini has announced they'll race in 2024. well, it's good to see the company actually race a car they built themselves instead of a re-badged Audi R8. I'll be supporting Porsche and BMW. I dont like GM. I am a FORD fan, so...yeah.
(not only that, Team Penske, who used to own 50% of Dick Johnson Racing will race the Porsche LMDH Prototype, and there are rumours floating around that my favourite driver, Scott McLaughlin COULD become a factory Porsche driver in the future... O.O)
As for movies? well, there's the sequel to the bumblebee movie (I wasn't the biggest fan of this movie. all of the cybertronian scenes were nice, but the rest of the movie felt like a carbon copy of Iron Giant), the super mario movie (after watching the first two trailers, I'm kinda iffy bout it. I'm gonna remain optimistic, but......I dunno if I'll go and see this movie. we'll have to wait and see what everyone says bout this movie.) and what is going to be the last indiana jones movie. I'm a little big skeptical bout it, now that LucasFilm is under the control of disney. I thought The Kingdon Of The Crystal Skull was the last movie in the franchise. I have a BAD feeling they're gonna screw this up. I mean, just take a look at the sequel trilogy. but yeah, lots of movies to watch this year!!!
I for one, am really excited bout the brand new godzilla movie that's coming out of japan later this year. it's been 8 years since Toho made a live action godzilla movie. I've grown to appreciate the monsterverse, but I still prefer the ones made by Toho.
I noticed they released a bunch of short films using suitmation. Just recently, they released a clip of Final Wars goji going up against show gigan, and the year before that, they put him up against hedorah. okay, I know these films were made to celebrate the 50th anniversary of godzilla vs hedorah and Godzilla vs Gigan and it was just for fun, but it makes me wonder if they'll continue to use CGI like they did with Shin Godzilla OR they'll give the fans what they want, and go back to suitmation? I had a feeling they were gonna do something for his 70th anniversary. Look, I know there's A LOT of people who's into the monsterverse and over-time, the design has grown on me, but it's not the most intimidating design out there. when you take a look at shin, it looks like it came out of a creepy-pasta. he's supposed to be terrifying. I cant wait to see what he looks like!!!
Speaking of Anime, I cant wait to watch the brand new pokemon anime. if you havent caught up with the news, they're planning to get rid of ash ketchum and team rocket. FINALLY!!! IT'S BOUT TIME. I’m glad the pokemon company has finally got the balls to say: ‘we’re done with ash and pikachu’.
It has always been the same thing: ash wants to become a pokemon master and they have to stick team rocket in every single filler episode cuz they can't come up with any new, bright ideas / they want to play it safe. That’s why I stopped watching it. in kanto and johto, they were the villians in that region, so it made sense. It was okay in hoenn, cuz it was something different. After watching the diamond and pearl anime, it got old pretty fast (well, that and the fact that they changed their motto.) it’s bout time they got rid of ash and team rocket. to me, this is a dream come true. this is something that I wanted for YEARS!!! ^^
They’ve shown in the past that they CAN make a pokemon anime WITHOUT Ash or Team Rocket. Just take a look at pokemon origins, pokemon chronicles, and all of the various pokemon shorts that scattered across their youtube channel. Now, they can afford to take it in any direction they want. Heck, they can make it incredibly dark if they want to.
OH, and MF Ghost. that means MORE EUROBEAT BABY!!!!!! LET'S GO!!!!!! ^w^
...and last but not least, I've got a rough idea of what I'm gonna buy this year. I got $280 from my family, and I gonna save that for the SH Figuarts Venom, and the SH Figuarts Black Adam. (I shall split it in half and then pay off the rest) I dont normally buy SH Figuarts, so this'll be a first. I'll use one of my $50 gift cards to buy Pokemon Scarlet and I'll save the other for the DLC that'll be potentially coming out later this year. as for the $30 gift card? I am gonna spend it on the Black Adam Funko Pop. I aint gonna get Nintendo Switch Online UNLESS they release a raid for hisuian pokemon or something like that. Unfortunately, I had no choice but to use my 7-day free trial to get access to that 7-star cinderace raid, but it was totally worth it. ^^
EDIT: and I just found a $50 Gift card lying around in my room. Well, I can use that to get NSO, if I really want to. ehh, I'll think I'll save that til they release a raid event where I can catch the hisuian forms OR til they release the DLC. -
well, I just got a shiny cyclizar in 6 mins using the herba mystica method ^^
yeah, shiny cyclizar is not an easy shiny to get. I've seen A LOT of people FAIL to get one
Unlike most of the people who were actively searching for it, I took it nice and easy. ^w^ honestly, I was surprised I managed to get in under 6 mins. :O I thought my shiny luck ran out after catching that Espathra.
this is my 8th shiny so far ^^ well, that is the very first shiny hunt I've ever done SUCCESSFULLY!!! I'm pretty happy bout that :3

found two more shinies. a Tinkatuff and another shiny sneasel. I was originally trying to find a cetoddle, but found a shiny sneasel instead. I was going to say 'no' to it cuz I already have one. it had an adamant nature, which is literally the best nature for it, so I have no choice but to keep it and save my game. I immediately evolved it into a weavile. it's not the shiny I was after, but this is WAY better than the first shiny sneasel I caught back in november. Overall, I'm happy that I got a good one

Yesterday, I caught not one, but TWO shiny Impidimp in scarlet and violet!!! I used the last of the extra herba mystica that I had left (now I only have one apiece). the first one appeared in 2 mins and the 2nd one appeared 5 mins after that!!! LET'S GO!!!

I was trying to get a cetitan horde to appear so I could have an easier time to shiny hunt for it, but a Dindozo horde popped up and I'd figured I'd try my luck and see if I could a shiny. in less than 4 mins, I managed to get one. This is one of my favourite shines. I LOVE the color yellow, so this shiny is for me!!! I'm SO F*CKING HAPPY I managed to get one. what a beautiful shiny!!! this is one of the more difficult shinies to get and realistically, you can only get one in a horde, otherwise it is impossible. thankfully, there was no veluza when it appeared.
