  1. OK, since there's already a mega thread on the subject of who is best pony, I thought It'd be interesting to take a look at the opposite end of the spectrum and see who we think the worst pony is. Now of course we all have different opinions, so let's try to keep control on this topic, OK? Can there be discussion over someone's choice? Yes. Flat out arguing without any real basis or saying they aren't allowed to have that opinion? No. Also, please try to give a reason whenever possible, It'll be a little boring for me and anyone else who ends up reading this if all they see is a list of names.

  2. So, does anyone ship any Sonic x MLP characters? Here are my ships:

Sonic x Rainbow Dash/ Sonic x Sunset Shimmer

    Knuckles x AppleJack

    Silver x Rarity

    Manic x Fluttershy

    Shadow x Pinkie Pie/ Shadow x Twilight Sparkle/ Shadow x Sunset Shimmer

    Tails x Apple Bloom/ Tails x Scootaloo

    Anyone else?

    Sonic X Rainbow Dash

    Knuckles X Applejack

    Shadow X Sunset

    Tails X Scootaloo

Those are the ones I would support out of those you mentioned, but I don't usually ship together characters from different franchises.

Although, in hindsight, with all the Mane 7, these are my OTP's for Sonic X MLP

    Sonic X Rainbow Dash

    Tails X Fluttershy

    Knuckles X Applejack

    Silver X Twilight

    Charmy Bee X Pinkie Pie

I can't think of anyone for Rarity :(

    Shadow X Starlight

    Cream X Spike

  3. OK, something I want to add here because looking at the replies there are a few things I mean to clarify on.

I'm not condoning the posting of Rule 34 MLP images on places like the forums, and agree with the majority saying that it should be kept where it needs to be, so places like DeviantArt for example.

Secondly, this is just an opinion I wanted to throw in here, the actual Rule 34 stuff doesn't affect the show in any way. It's not like I'd see a dirty Applejack pic and all I'd ever think about when watching an episode about Applejack is that pic, it doesn't work like that, something like that doesn't ruin a show for you.

  4. if it's a joke, good one.

If you mean it I hate you :) sooooooo much right now.

The art is commendable but it's not what they should be drawing.

Just to poke fun a little bit, although I don't actively look at Rule 34 I do stumble across it sometimes, and I've seen Rule 34 art that's actually pretty badly drawn...

  5. No. Hats off to those beautiful artists that make that content.

Sorry, but I couldn't help laughing. I'm sorry if you were genuine but the way you talk about something like this with such an air of nonchalance like It's a trip to the spa is funny. You sir, get comment of the year.

  6. some sexy pics are ok.. I little bit of eye candy Never hurt anybody, but porn? The people who draw/request that shit are subhuman to me!

To me it is the highest of insults and the biggest show of disrespect and inhumanity in this fandom. It's a show for kids with moral messages to make you a better person. It sickens me that people could do such a thing -3- r34 isn't a rule. It's an excuse and a joke gone to far. It's disgraceful that people waste their artistic talent drawing that shit. They are scum and I don't think I can ever bring myself to love or tolerate them -3-

Well, a little extreme I admit, but I can respect that.

  7. Then you weren't given the complete version since the Game Gear games were unlocked by earning emblems. I blame Microsoft for this or Sega, whichever comes first.

Chao can be easy to raise if you're willing to grind like crazy for about a few hours.

Yup, but honestly, It's not so bad I guess. The Gems Collection and Mega Collection Plus both contain all the Game Gear games when put together.

Simply put, you give them strength and abilities, by giving them animals to play with.

    1-animals.png

Wow, that's surprisingly deep and complex... But I still wouldn't know where to find each kind of animal.

  8. They do, but on some occasions I've been looking for a fanart and when it comes to that even Ninetales wasn't safe from Rule 34 XD

This is what scares me. Not even the most innocent things can be safe from being turned into porn. And no matter how hard I try to avoid it I always end up seeing it at one point or another. If not outright naked then either wearing "kinky" outfits or in very suggestive poses.

I know this is gonna sound REALLY stupid, but I don't really consider the outfits or poses Rule 34. I only consider it Rule 34 when the characters are fully naked. If I went by that logic, Bayonetta would be considered Rule 34.

And yeah, Ninetales is the kind of Pokemon I expect would probably be popular for Rule 34...

  9. I don't really care about people who are into that kind of thing, but personally I'd rather stay with my spieces when it comes to erotica stuff, not cartoon, animated ponies. But well, it's Internet. Everything here is turned into porn and fighting it is pointless. Scary thing is sometimes I am even afraid to google some words (even some pokemon names) because I am given search results that make my stomach sick (read: erotic pictures of what I've been looking for). That little aspect of R34 I'd be very happy to see fixed. Sadly safe search isn't always helping XD

Really? When you search in a Pokemon I would assume more official results would show up first.

    And not regress backwards.

Now if only some certain people would learn that...

  10. I see nothing wrong with it but I also don't want any part of it. I like to keep an innocent image of my favorite characters in my head.

I get what you mean, for some that sort of thing forever ruins how you look at the characters, even if it is just fan made.

We have to prove that we're better than the haters by being tolerable towards things we don't always understand.

The more we do that, the more we evolve.

  11. Wrong and right is up to our consciousness. And not all share the same development in humanity.

What's the "adult" perception on sexuality, and why children would want to inform themselves in such a way? What image of sexuality will they find, something constructive or destructive?

This you would have to ask yourself. I trust all beings in their learning experience. Either it be by positive or negative means.

True, I guess it all depends on what thoughts we develop as we go through our daily lives.

It really all depends on how people view Rule 34 related content. There are those who enjoy that kind of stuff--I avoid it like the plague because that goes against my creed--yet others think it drags down the overall quality of the fandom. The idea of tolerance comes to mind here since it takes an awful lot to tolerate the more questionable aspects this fandom has developed over the years. Everyone has to make their own choice on what they want to take out of being a brony and we must accept their decision even if we don't always agree on them.

Love and tolerate. To be honest this Isn't even just MLP, this applies to most fandom, if someone likes something we don't we have to learn to cope with that, I see that as common human decency.

  12. There was one, Sonic Blast, released in 1996. It used a pseudo 3D effect although to be brutally honest, it looked absolutely terrible and was a far cry from the four main Sonic Game Gear platformers: Sonic, Sonic 2, Sonic Chaos, and Sonic Triple Trouble. Sonic and Knuckles were both playable--not Tails--and generally went through the same game. I played it a couple of times but I just couldn't get over the awkward graphics.

Sega using the other Sonic characters more often is another double-edged sword. There are those in the fandom who want to see them utilized more often, yet others only want Sonic to be playable since he is the main character.

Again, blame Sega for issuing their mandate and all because of the lawsuit fallout.

Ah, yes, I remember that game now, I think It's the worst Sonic game gear game by now after playing it on a collection...

    • Brohoof 1
  13. Sonic 3D Blast was seen as the odd-one out among the Sonic games released on the Genesis. I had no problems with it myself but you could tell that it had its flaws that ruined the overall experience. The Game Gear version was even worse although not many remember it since it came out right near the end of the handheld's lifespan.

The Treasure Hunting mechanic wasn't that good either so I'm glad that it didn't make a return after Sonic Adventure 2. The Werehog mechanic was originally going to be Knuckles since physical combat is what he's known for, but he was dropped during game development and Sonic himself would ultimately assume that role. Another thing to note would be Sonic the Hedgehog 4 in that both episodes had mixed results that show that going back to the classic feel only works if you do it right.

In the comics, Sonic did start a relationship with Amy after he was dumped by Sally and when Fiona Fox revealed that she had been cheating on him with Scourge, but it didn't really go that far until he and Sally got back together. That was retconned out of existence because Sega no longer allows comic characters and official characters to be in a relationship or be related.

There was a game gear version? And I'll agree maybe Knuckles would have made more sense for Unleashed, but I don't mind the Werehog.  just wish SEGA would actually use all their characters more, we have plenty who haven't been a main part of the games for years.

Jeez, stuff like this reminds me of how 4Kids censored any hint of a relationship in Sonic X. And here I was thinking Sonic had one media where they actually went into relationships, guess that's not happening anymore.

  14. Before I get into this topic let me say this... I do not take part in, or look at any sort of Pony erotica, by any means, so this message Isn't coming from a fan of Rule 34.

So, is it wrong for people to like Rule 34 of MLP, or heck, in general? Because honestly, although I don't find it very appealing myself, I can see why other people may like it, and can respect them for liking it, so I don't really have a problem with it. Some others I've seen slam down on it before though, and say It's completely wrong for people to have their interests, at least that's what it seems like to me. Not only that, but there's always the tired excuse that kids will end up seeing it. OK, first of all, their parents should be responsible for their kid and make sure they don't go onto online content that Isn't meant for their age. Two, you don't get porn just by searching mlp into google or looking around online, so what kid is gonna type in "sexy mlp pics lol!" to the search bar? Anyway, I've said my piece.

  15. Well, I don't think they are obsessed with cuteness per say, but I do think the cuteness of the show is a part of what attracted me to it. I liked some cute things before MLP, though I still care about the action, plot, etc. Put it this way, if you knew me, you REALLY wouldn't think I'm a brony, but the point is cuteness is a good thing, and every time I see pictures like that it makes my heart melt.

  16. With Sonic '06, Sega wanted the game released in time for the PS3 and Xbox 360 launches, yet Sonic Team wasn't even close to finishing it, so they did as much as they could before handing it in and the result is the unbridled mess that had become the absolute lowest point for the franchise. Shadow the Hedgehog effectively retconned events from Sonic Adventure 2 but not in a good way so now we have a plotline that makes no sense and effectively ruins a major point from a game that was still received well--S.A.2. The storyline book series had potential but a combination of poor controls and giving Sonic abilities that went against his character and gameplay style doomed them both.

Even the classic games had their problem entries. Sonic Labyrinth for the Game Gear was an absolute disaster while Sonic 3D Blast for the Genesis/Sega Saturn suffered from poor controls and an isometric view that wasn't as good as expected.

It's a sad tale indeed. Hell, I'm pretty sure they weren't even intending to retcon it, the story was literally just so bad that it ended up ruining Shadow's plotline and any chance of further exploring it.

Really, that's considered bad? I kinda liked Sonic 3D Blast...

Personally part of why I like the Sonic series so much is because of the fact that they always change things up. It gets boring playing the same few gamestyles over and over. Particularly oldschool Sonic formula made anew. I have no real interest in that Sonic Mania thing because it's too tired and done.

Some of those changes don't always work out for the best while others did end up being a good idea for them to go with. One idea I enjoyed was Tails' and Eggman's gameplay in Sonic Adventure 2. I love walking around in their respective mechs and destroying everything around me using missiles, lasers, and anything else they have.

Generally speaking I like all the changes. I don't necessarily like the fact that they didn't work well but as for the ideas themselves it's what kept me interested in every game. The swordplay in Black Knight, the werehog in Unleashed, etc. All these were amazing ideas in theory.

I personally don't see anything wrong with the Werehog mechanic in Unleashed. I thought it was an interesting idea to give Sonic the ability to use physical attacks and other forms of combat instead of simply running through a level at top speed.

Pretty much agreed here, while I want to see SEGA improve on their current core formula, a part of what keeps Sonic fresh in the games is the new mechanics, granted they could use some work. I didn't like SA2's treasure hunting for example, I find the first game did it better. I also think Unleashed's Werehog combat worked rather well, though looking back, it could have been executed a little better.

So, anyone like Sonic and Amy ship? I know that Sega said that it will never happen, but I still like it.

There's a reason why Sega doesn't want it to happen. They don't want Sonic tied down in a relationship as that would take away his carefree attitude that he's been known to have. Granted, the Archie comics did have him involved in two relationships but those are no longer canon due to the mandate Sega imposed a few years ago.

I personally don't support SonAmy, but put down your pitchforks and torches, alright, let me explain. Sonic has clearly shown, right back to Sonic CD, that he has no damn interest in Amy, he just considers her a friend and will save her life if she needs to be saved, but that's because It's Sonic's thing to rescue all the animals. I personally support Sonic X Blaze more but to each their own.

  17. Sonic Colours and Sonic Generations were pretty great although Sonic Lost World wasn't as well received especially if you look at the reviews and what the fandom said about it. I personally thought Lost World was an okay game although it did have flaws in terms of character development and the infamous Red Rings.

Games like Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic '06, Sonic and the Secret Rings, and Sonic Free Riders are among the more bad games in the series for obvious reasons.

The infamous red rings? Sorry but I burst out laughing at that. Am I the only one who found the Generations red rings harder to get than the ones in Lost World? In honesty though, looking at the two side by side, I do prefer Generations.

You know what's sad about those four games? They all had potential, but it was squandered by bad decisions. Shadow getting his own game sounded awesome, but they had to make it super edgy and dark, with a confusing plot line and tedious missions. Sonic 06 even had potential, but the clearly rushed release along with how badly the plot was handled and SEGA trying to cram so many things into the game at once along with it being infested with bugs held it back, and I could go on about more problems but, well, ya know... Sonic in storybooks? Sure, why not, sounds neat. I've never played Secret Rings myself, but I hear the same story I every time, the controls were terrible. I would love to see a Riders 4, but that ain't happening after Free Riders, we were finally getting a new Riders game, but they decided to implement the Kinect, and Sonic Riders style gameplay doesn't work with the Kinect, not to mention it was a bad move anyway because the Kinect flopped in the end.
