....What?

Hey! You! Yes, you! We use an OOC now: OOC :o We follow Fallout: Equestria logic in this thread. Go on the wiki for the backstory there. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lance could barely keep his eyes open, much less actually move forward. He examined his surroundings: Sand, sand and more sand, just as it had been for the past however long he had been out here in this wasteland. The Equestrian Wasteland, to be specific. He didn't really see why it needed a name. Nobody sane ever came out here. Question: If nobody sane ever comes here, then why are you here, genius? He didn't bother to answer his own question. See, this was amazing compared to where he had come from. Stable 184, one of the many Stables created when the war began, before the Nukes were dropped. His Stable wasn't what one would call 'luxurious'. Well, not now, at least. Before it was amazing, better than his cottage nestled between a few trees at the edge of the Everfree. Now, though, it was full of cannibalistic psychos and hostile security guards. He had been able to grab a Service Carbine before his escape, along with another sane Dweller, who quickly vanished after they left the Stable. Unfortunately, not only did he not have more than a single clip for his Carbine but he also had nothing worth shooting at. So instead, he lay on the sand, regretting his life choices. He knew that he wasn't going to make it to any civilization (if there was any) anytime soon, and he didn't think sand had any thirst-quenching abilities, so the only thing he did was lay, grunt, stand up, and move forward about a foot, lay back down again, resting for a minute, and then repeating the cycle. Each pull forwards became more and more difficult as a mist of blackness rimmed his vision, the heat sucking out his consciousness. Finally, he threw in the towel and gave in, landing with a thunk on the sand, clouds of the stuff puffing out from under his Stable 184 jumpsuit. I tried. Then he passed out.

@Blitz Boom "I wish I was the type of personality that was as nice as you two, but I get kind of self-centered when a situation like half the town becoming destroyed is thrown into play. But, you know, I could help you set up a place outside of town if you want." Lance paused thoughtfully. "I'm willing to bet that the princesses are going to let you inside town, anyways. If they didn't they must have a couple dozen things wrong with them."

This show was amazing. In elementary school I would come home, plop down and open netflix, and watch a Hey Arnold! episode every day. A few of them even made me cry, if you'd believe that. Every single character is thought out and played so realistically, it's like you made the script yourself. So much nostalgia.

What is this 'exercise' you speak of?

@Blitz Boom Lance wasn't expecting such a reaction from Null (though, he should have) and jumped when she hissed. "Of-- of course, right. So, uh..." He desperately searched for another subject, any other subject to talk about. "So why did Void decide to get a job here?" He almost asked 'How did Void get a job here?' but quickly stopped himself from saying that, as it would imply that he was surprised Void had gotten a job. Which he wasn't surprised, the food was amazing.

Lance shrugged. "I honestly don't know much for sure, I'm assuming most are rumors, most of which are probably not true. The ones that I think are true is that this place has a lot of changelings, and this has had some famous ponies living here. I'm not sure if they still do, though..."

The USER above you is naked in your bed. Your reaction?
genessee replied to Sky's topic in Forum Games
My reaction in the form of a picture. -
Yuck. I prefer sugar to hype me up. Raw Sugar

@Blitz Boom "I knew some stories. I kind of figured they were myths or rumors, so when my parents offered me a cottage here I accepted. Pretty soon after that I was shown the, um, destroyed part of town. I guess some of the stories weren't rumors after all." He shrugged. "To answer your question, yes, it sure seems like it from what I've seen."
-
@Blitz Boom Lance nodded. "I couldn't hurt her, even if I wanted to. Which I don't. And yeah, I'll be sure to come by soon, you and Void are pretty nice." He hated to think this, but he was also deeply interested in the backstory behind these two. It's like when you're reading a mystery book, and it gets to the good part and you can't stop reading. He frowned slightly. I can't believe I just thought that.

@Blitz Boom "She told me some stuff about how you two were chased out of a bunch of towns, had a run-in with some changelings and how she blew glass. She didn't tell me her life story or anythinggggg..." Lance trailed off as he said that as he realised he had basically told Void his life story. He was unsure how he should feel about that.
-
@Blitz Boom Lance nodded. "I've had some earlier today that Void made. It was really, really good. I'm usually not a big fan of spicy, but this stew is too good to pass up." He kind of wished he also had a bowl, but he figured he wasn't going to finish it as he had just eaten a short while ago. Instead he watched Void behind the counter as Null ate, wondering how he had somehow helped somepony for once instead of making it worse.
-
@Blitz Boom "Who, me? No, I bet she's just getting used to Ponyville, and that's making her work better. I had nothing to do with it." However, as he said this he grinned widely. "Okay, maybe I had a little to do with it. You'd be surprised how much talking with somepony without worrying about being judged helps sometimes. It helps me a lot, for sure." He stopped talking for a moment, as if to finish the sentence, but decided to add one more thing. "I mean, if I could talk to somepony often without being judged. Void was one of the first besides my parents."

@Blitz Boom This question caught Lance way off guard. When he was expecting a question, he could make a very, very good answer very quickly. However, when they caught him off guard like the current one, they usually were answered with stuttering or attempts to sidestep the question. Lance could tell that if he tried sidestepping the question now, thought, Null would definitely say something about it. And if he looked like he had something to hide, well, it wouldn't really end well for him. So instead he kind of shrugged and answered in the most calm tone he could. "Well, as I just moved here it's not like I can say that I think anything of anypony, but Void seemed nice so I started talking with her. She was very nice, and interesting too. And, for some weird reason, she seemed to be genuinely interested in what I had to say too. That's kind of why I started telling her more and I guess we became friends." He paused. "Then this freak show came and scared the crap out of me." Lance motioned towards Happy.

YOU, MY FRIEND, ARE A GOD.

When humanity sees that picture: Mission Failed, we'll get 'em next time.'

I have pringles. Your arguments are all invalid.

*looks in empty can* You couldn't save a chip for me? *throws empty can back*

Tosses a can on Pringles at Hierok.

@Blitz Boom "Ah, Void told me a little about you. I'm Lance, basically the town idiot. Nice to meet you." Lance smiled warmly after saying 'town idiot', to indicate he wasn't entirely serious. There was no traces of suspicion or hate in his tone that had been present just moments before when speaking to Happy, and he looked similar to what he usually looked like (with the exception of more tired-looking, as he hadn't got a lot of sleep. He was glad he had caught enough of it on the train ride here to still be functional.) Null gave a very different vibe than Void did. While Void seemed fragile and kind, Null looked like the type that would defend those close to her at all costs, whether they liked it or not. Already my life has been more interesting than in Noncannon.

HAHAHA. You're funny. Unfortunately, the Pringles Empire has relieved you of this thread's ownership. Good day.

@Blitz Boom Lance figured at this point he had gone insane. Why he still talked to Happy without any enthusiasm was beyond him. He felt that he should be running or some sort of reaction, but he acted as if this was a casual conversation, with almost nothing out of place. The only thing that was different was the huge amount of suspicion that was present, drenching every word that Lance spoke with the stuff. I guess I feel kind of obligated to protect Vo-- the room from this.. thing? He figured it was the least he could do for everyone was to ask a question. It seemed fairly easy to do, and he probably would've kept his mouth shut if he felt he was being threatened. Before Void left, he responded quickly, "It's not your fault he showed, you had no idea he was a Human-Changeling mutant thing. Don't beat yourself up about it." Something told him that she would probably continue to beat herself up about it.

No thanks. In parties I'm usually that guy who sits near the drinks/punch bowl with no friends and nobody to hangout with. It's extremely painful, if you ask me.
