The answer is...
SpoilerA! John Henry “Doc” Holliday was a friend of Wyatt Earp and was involved in the 30-second shootout. He was grazed by a bullet but was not killed or seriously wounded. Frank and Tom McLaury both were killed, as was Billy Clanton. The shootout led to the Cowboy gang attempting to kill the Earps, wounding Virgil Earp two months later and killing Morgan Earp in March of the next year. This led to the Earp Vendetta ride, wherein Wyatt and a few others (including Doc) formed a posse to attempt to find those responsible. Doc Holliday died of tuberculosis a few years later in 1887.
