      They actually finally won a game though, I heard! Like, don't think it was a major league one, but man, after some twenty years? That's gotta be a tearjerker for all involved!

      I read somewhere that Steve Goodman, who was a die hard Cubs fan, never saw them win a national league penant in his life. Four days after he died, the cubs won a game that sent them to the world series.
