This is my biggest concern also. I like that generation 5 is going to be set in the same world as generation 4, but I'd hate for them to come up with something that pretty much ruins the ending of The Last Problem, which was something I really liked.

I like the look of Pipp. Not so sure about Zipp.

I loved episode 1. It was funny and wonderfully wacky. I hope the rest of the season is this good.

As someone who loved season 1 I'm really looking forward to this. The Wild Siders look interesting and I'm curious about what their role in the upcoming episodes will be.

Absolutely I'll be watching it. Even if it's not all that good I'll still feel compelled to watch every episode.

We've had so little information so far about generation 5 that the fans are always going to go crazy about the bits we do have. It reminds me of what I've read about the fans in the early days of generation 4, the way they would immediately make a ton of fanart or games based on things that had occurred in the latest episode. I wasn't there to witness it at the time since I didn't become a fan until late 2015. I'm guessing it's going to be the same for generation 5 and I'm glad that I'll be here to see it all this time. I must admit I too find it a bit irritating the way the tennis ball thing has blown up so big, but on the other hand I'm happy to see the fans are as enthusiastic about Pony as ever. There's already been songs made about generation 5 and there's even a game inspired by Izzy and the tennis ball.

Izzy got my vote. From the bits we've seen so far she appears to be the Pinkie Pie of this generation.

It's actually two ponies for me. Snips and Snails because they have annoying personalities and they're ugly.

I like it a bit, but I think there are better songs in that movie.

Although I originally wanted G5 to be completely separate from G4, after reading the news I'm actually really excited about it being set in the same world. I can't wait for future updates.

I'd definitely want to be a pegasus. Being a unicorn is tempting because I like the idea of having magic, but the ability to fly high above Equestria appeals to me more.

I've seen all the episodes and I love it. When I first heard it was coming I thought it would just be a bit of low-quality Pony that would fill the gap for me between generations 4 and 5, but it's turned out to be much better than that. It's delightfully mental and entertaining, but it was always going to rub a lot of Friendship is Magic fans up the wrong way in the way that Equestria Girls did. Maybe even more so. You just have to watch it without expecting it to be Friendship is Magic. I think it has a lot of under-appreciated inventiveness and a real comedic heart among all the craziness. That said, I do think the earlier episodes were better - the show seemed to lose something halfway through. The thousand-miles-per-hour pacing, which in the early episodes reminded me of that in Star vs. the Forces of Evil, also seemed to slow down in the latter episodes, or maybe it just seemed that way because I'd got used to it. I'd have to rewatch it all to see, but they really seemed to be much faster paced earlier on. The first episode in particular seemed to go all-out with the insanity as if the writers were letting us know that this super fast craziness is what the show's all about. Really looking forward to seeing where they take this show in season 2 if and when it comes.
