  1. Hi everyone, gonna try to keep it as short as I can but a few little updates regarding my music. 1. I think I've released 2 remixes since last time I posted anything here, so here they are: BK-One & Benzilla feat. Aby Wolf - Love Like That (Espy Vibe Bootleg) Seven Ponies - Fluttersky (Espy Vibe Remix) They were both fun to make! With Fluttersky, I wanted to take it in a less "EDM" route compared to the other remixes that people have done for it and I think it came out quite well. This one was in the remix folder for a while and I hadn't gotten to it until then. With Love Like That, that one I heard recently while I was going through some CD's I have and this one stood out compared to the rest which were hip hop. This one was... I dunno. It's like downtempo or something, I'm not an expert on that but it lacked anything related to hip hop. Turning it into DnB actually worked out better than I thought, so that's good. I started on it like a day or two after I originally heard it and it was basically done so I put it out there. And yes I did enjoy the hip hop!. It's just that this one was so much different than everything else on that album. 2. I put my remixes on Soundcloud and also on Bandcamp. I've been asked a few times for downloads for my music so here they are! Soundcloud: Bandcamp: https://espyvibe.bandcamp.com/music I recommend Bandcamp to just get it all in one go. It's all under "Hoofworks, Vol. 1" and includes some other goodies with it! Both should have free downloads enabled. On Bandcamp, you can pay what you want. And no I don't ask for your email if you want it for free. I do appreciate it if you do want to send some money my way but it's not necessary at all. Yeah both pages are bare and boring but I'll deal with that later. bleh 3. I've been gone working on an album! I can talk about this a bit now because one of the tracks that'll be included on it has been out for a bit now, promoted by VibePoniez. I don't remember if I ever talked about it here but I'll put it here anyways. It's just a little liquid DnB thing: The album is going to be a mixture of how I've been feeling emotionally and also thematically based around the backstory of Espy. Mostly DnB, a little bit of some other genres I like too but my own take on it all. It was actually in the works since waaaay earlier this year but I had to put it aside for a bit and wasn't really able to pick it back up until mid-late August. Kept it a secret for a bit but I've picked up a lot of steam since then so yeah. Sorry if I've been really quiet. I'm just busy working on this when I'm not occupied with anything else. Anyways, ETA: probably no later than spring 2026. After that, probably just singles or some EP's for a while, depends on what happens. More to come. Would you guys be interested if I wrote a backstory about my OC Espy Vibe? 4. I forgot I have a DJ controller. A DDJ FLX4. So... I might do something with that. Do people like mixes? I would need to practice some more (a lot more) but how would people feel if I recorded some DJ mixes in the future? Well it'll probably just be DnB that I'm into. But we'll just have to see what happens. That's all I think. I'm sorry if I have no idea what everyone's up to right now, I'm very much out of the loop regarding a lot of things. I fixed my email also, there was a slight issue on my end so I should be seeing notifications through there now.
  2. I'm definitely a night pony. It's probably because I don't get bothered at night vs. the day. Even at home there's just so much going on during the day, I hate to admit that I do get a bit annoyed when I'm in the middle of something and I'm asked repeatedly to do stuff. My sleep schedule is kinda weird now, I stay up from maybe 10 PM to 11 AM, then I sleep throughout the afternoon and evening right up to 10 PM. But it works for me, it lines up with my weird productive hours usually around 1 AM to maybe 5 AM. There's a memory I have that's related so I'll drop it here. Probably 10 years ago now I was on a family vacation at the beach and it felt much nicer to walk around at night on my own there. There was almost nothing really going on unlike during the day where there were a lot of people. The way the dark sky and the water seamlessly meet to form a singular black space is surreal. The only thing that reminded me I was still on a beach was the sound of the waves rolling back and forth just as it normally would during the day, but even then that was a bit eerie because you couldn't really tell where the sound was coming from. It's like it all meshed into it's own world and the tide was the entrance to that world. Never ever told anyone that I ever did this before. Of course the next day I got scolded for "not enjoying the vacation" because I just don't really like swimming or tanning or whatever else. But that night when I decided to walk around on the beach alone was probably the only time I really enjoyed myself.
  3. I bought some more vinyl records for my slowly growing drum and bass collection. But there's one with a silly story. I got this promo copy of Marcus Intalex - Afrika / Bridge The Gap, it's one of my personal bucket list records so I got it immediately when it popped up for sale in the US. Relatively rare stateside. Other than the typo ("bridge the gab") it's all good basically: But that's housed in this with the wrong label, look at the top right corner: And these were inside THIS: I think whoever I bought this from just used something they had laying around to protect it in shipping but it's all good at the end of the day. So now I just have this guy to look at me I guess.
  4. guys!! I'm sorry for not being around too much here, kinda busy working on some personal projects.

  5. @rottenpawzies Sure! I don't see the harm in this. Just note that if you wish for it to potentially be used on the site, it has to be sent through the appropriate forms so we can see and sort through it easier.
  6. Banner by @Treeglow Flicker MLP Forums Banner Contest - 2025 Hello everyone, welcome to the 2025 MLP Forums Banner Contest! Site banner submissions have been open for some time but it's been very stagnant. To help stir up activity, we're holding a contest specifically for banners! Theme The theme for this contest is Seasons! In preparation for 2026, we are looking for pony-themed site banners to use for the whole year. There will be a total of 4 winning submissions for each season which will be used accordingly as the main banner for the (rough) length of a season. Winners will be credited accordingly and all participants may also earn a badge. Rules Your banner(s) must be related to any of the four seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall/Autumn You are allowed to submit as many banners as you'd like Banners must preferably be sized 225 x 1000 pixels (H x W) Please note that your best submission for each season will be the only one considered for the final round of voting for this contest Preferably, if you intend on sending multiple submissions, you can submit them all at once in the same submission rather than separately Please try to organize and group your submissions as best as possible if you want to send them all at once. This isn't a must but helps a lot! Your banner(s) must be related to My Little Pony in some way Any generation of MLP is allowed Your banner(s) must feature MLP Forums somewhere It can be written/drawn out or use the official logo text (provided in the spoiler box below) Example: "MLP Forums" or "MLPForums.com" would be acceptable You are allowed to collage (combine/stitch together) vector art to create your banner Still frames from official media may also be used OC's and official characters may be used Parodies are also okay too as long as the main theme is followed Your banner(s) must follow the site rules; please keep it appropriate!!! Official MLP Forums logo text: DO NOT SUBMIT: A banner that is unrelated to the given theme Please see the bottom of this post where to submit these banners An old banner, especially one that you did not make Anything that is considered inappropriate for these forums (refer to the site rules) Anything that is completely unrelated to My Little Pony This includes random SFW images and memes Anything that is considered a troll submission Specifically: blatantly low effort, or maliciously spamming submissions for the sole purpose of making it difficult to sort through Not following any of these rules will result in varying consequences depending on the situation. This can range from your submission being disqualified from this event to your account being banned from the site. Deadline Submissions for this contest will be open from August 5th, 2025 - September 5th, 2025. Judging MLPF staff will pick the best submission from each participant for each season as soon as possible. Afterwards, all of the handpicked best submissions will be voted on by the community and the winners will be announced afterwards. There will, at most, be four winners by the end of it. One for each season! The winning submissions will have their banners used accordingly as the default site banner throughout 2026. All participants may receive a badge for participating. Submitting a Banner To submit your banners for this contest, please go to the bottom of this page, select: Contest Banner Submissions -> 2025 We encourage submitting your banners in one submission rather than multiple to streamline the judging process. If there are any more questions, comments or concerns, please feel free to ask below or directly to either @Dynamo Pad or @Espy. Please note that we are always looking for new banners made by members of this community! Banners can always be submitted even when there is no banner contest running at this link, which also has general information regarding banners (if you submit one that is not for a contest, make sure you select Regular Banner Submissions -> 2025 (or whatever the current year is): https://mlpforums.com/event-team/banner-submissions/?do=form&d=22
  7. Ok so basically I was told that the gamecube I had when I was really little was tossed out a long time ago since it was broken. But I found the family wii and it's the original release model that can natively play them. I'm basically just looking for game recommendations since I have only vague memories of it. So for anyone that has played on a gamecube, what's your favorite games on there?

  9. What's the worst name for a music genre you ever came across? And maybe it's surprised you when you listened to some works from it and it became one of your favorites? It can be anything from silly to ridiculous. For me, it would be "Intelligent Drum & Bass/jungle" over anything else. It makes it sound like every other style and sub-genre is "dumb" in comparison. Apparently it came from British media labeling it as such and it stuck, for some reason. From Wikipedia about it: Yeah, no. Just because it's jazzier and "softer" than the more hardcore jungle dnb coming out around that time doesn't make it more "intelligent" than anything else. It just makes it sound too posh and uptight, like, "You're an idiot if you don't listen to the intelligent tunes like me!" which obviously isn't true and should never be true for any music genre. I'll personally stick to calling it "Ambient/Atmospheric Drum & Bass/Jungle" since that describes it MUCH better and is less pretentious. (I tend to swap those names around a bit but they're used to refer to the same thing.) Great example IMO: "Intense - West Side Blues" released in 1997, one of my personal favorites as of late And yes, that's a real sax performance on an EDM song! Little fun fact related to this: One of the members of Intense, Dan Duncan, had his father, Malcolm "Molly" Duncan, on the sax for their songs, who was a founding member of Average White Band and has also worked with a lot of other folks like Marvin Gaye, Tom Petty, and Dire Straits. All of those in itself is a totally different rabbit hole to jump through so I won't do it here, but you're free to search his name and find out the work he's done. Crazy connections though, there's a lot of cool history here!
