I enjoy most western shows and a bit of anime, I only recently got into Shingeki No Kyojin, and I'm loving it so far, however, I feel as if many western TV shows, particularly American ones, are just the same thing over and over again, and yes, Japan does have reality TV shows, game shows, and all of that stuff, because tbh, anime is basically a cartoon, so saying anime is better than western stuff is kinda like saying that cartoons are better than the rest of the TV shows on. 

But then again, I don't really watch television outside of The Walking Dead, History/military channel, and Cartoon Network (for Regular Show and Adventure Time). The rest of the stuff I watch is on the internet.
