I think they could pull off an episode like that. I'd imagine it'd be a very well received episode, even to non bronies.

I personally would like to see a approach similar to how Hey Arnold! did it. Just one night The Apple Family (Applebloom, Applejack and Big Macintosh) are just chatting and then the subject suddenly diverges into a discussion about thier parents. They all go silent in sadness until Granny Smith comes in with a optimistic attitude and lightens up thier moods with stories about thier parents.

Oh cool! It's plain and simple!

Can I like attempt to copy this on my own? I want to get some practice in and this actually seems doable!

The guy Twilight hugged might be Soarin or Shining Armor.

Or he could be summer generic boyfriend dude. Oh and Sunset seems like one of those shallow girls that I hate on the spot.
