      There's not much else to do, for the typical person. Video games supply a storyline (for the most part), which can be taken as interesting, and involve a goal that people can reach within a short amount of time. No one wants to sit at a desk and do something productive that will help them reach later-in-life goals. To be quite honest, I don't understand it, either. I would never waste so much time and money on something that gives me little to no output.
