I did, and all I found was more of the same until I tried to dig myself a 6ft hole.
I do not recommend it.
Focusing, though, on things like that will pretty much affix yourself that way of thinking.
If you're accepting advice, I would recommend on focusing on more positive things, even if only little things.
The brightness of the sky, the smell of a random breeze, little things like that helped me get through some emotionally horrific times.
It's not an easy thing to just switch over to, I have to admit that,

but with practice, it'll help.

I really hope you're not considering doing anything too rash, btw.
I'd rather not see you disappear. : (

That won't ever end my lack of worth though and the overall futility of my life. I try to enjoy the simple things and appreciate them, but I simply don't like myself either way.

only that it makes it easier.
Pesky depressive thoughts never really go away, it's something that must be overcome time and again.
