I think it is a nice edition that many forums don't have. I see it as something to just fill up your profile page so it doesn't seem as empty. Of course I'm kind of used to it and it would feel weird not having it there but initially I thought it was a nice touch. -
I think your mane rant is about the ToS page, you did not give any feedback on the rest of the forum. As a whole I find this forum/forum layout very welcoming. The ToS page is supposed to be red as people above me have stated just for the sake of pointing out what is allowed and not allowed.

Twilight kind of reminds me of Rachel Berry from glee, looks and personality seem kind of reminiscent of each other. The whole leg warmer thing just got me thinking about that. -
In the first 2 comparisons, the left picture was of the changeling but the second one was of the real Cadance so you're comparing pictures of different ponies. (Correct me if I'm wrong, I haven't watched MLP in a while) :/ -

Relating to your example it is really hard to say at this point. So you give a gun to a small child but what now, is it really a bad choice to do, most likely yes. But it's not like you give a gun to a child every day, maybe this child is different and right now we have no idea about the future. I would say the idea of Princess Twilight is not a bad idea, there are many ways it could turn out but I'm sure whatever happens in the future will not take a negative turn for the show. -
You, out, now! I'm sure I'm better friends with Celestia than you though I love to sing and as for Twiight and friends, well they're all a sweet bunch of ponies and I can see why they are Twilights friends. Sorry that sounded really cliche XP
