Dart was sitting at a table nearby the crowd of students, quietly eating his lunch for once. He had wanted to know what the commotion was about but he decided that eating was more important, that is, until Whisper called out to him. He finished his lunch, got up from the table and made his way through the crowd, apologising as he went.

 

Once Dart made it to the inner circle, he was surprised that Meghan was the centre of attention and shocked that she was on the ground and barely moving. He made his way over to Rush and Whisper, and asked, "What happened?"

Rick had gotten to the edge of the forest sector and was staring across a large void at the ice sector. "Well it's good he got himself sorted out... cause there's no bridge here and I honestly had no idea how I get between sectors." He went back to playing with his chain and sickle as he walked the forest noting different inactive towers. "As far as getting me out don't I just get ejected if I go to zero hit points? I mean what's the risk of being in here, you just end up outside the game if you're defeated." He started testing out some attacks with the weapon. "You can probably even set up some dummy enemies from out there or I wonder what sparing agains another player would be like... Wait aren't YOU supposed to be in class?"

"...No." Dan said hesitantly. It was only the first day of class, so he didn't mind skipping that day. "Anyway, yeah, you'll end up back here if you lose all of your hit points. Good thing too, at least you won't actually die in there. And sparring hm? that could be pretty fun."

"She uh..." Whisper couldn't exactly explain all the details without mentioning the factory.

 

"I think she had a heart attack. Meghan was stressing out about something and then the next thing I know, she passed out!"

Rush nodded, grabbing Meghan and heading toward the gates. "Probably a heart attack. I called an ambulance. Not much to do but wait for it to show up. Shouldn't be too much longer. Need to get to the gates. Meet them there." He began to power his way through the growing crowd, his bulk pushing away those who didn't step aside for him.

"A heart attack ... " Dart mouthed to himself. He couldn't believe it. As far as he knew, Meghan never suffered from heart attacks. Her heart was definitely strong. He went after Rush while he carried Meghan. "Meghan can't gwlet a heart attack! Her heart is strong and healthy. There's gotta be something more to this mate!" Dart told Rush as he followed him.

Temoest sighed as he de virtualized himself for what seemed like the millionth time in the past two days. "I don't know what to do. My mind is killing me, and the others hate me. Maybe I should just leave the group." He thought. The teen then shook his head, which succeded in only making his headache worse, and headed back to the computer room. He glanced at Dan, and sighed. "I wasn't kidding when I said that I was going to talk to my uncle. If you want to know anything, now would be the time to ask?" The teen then sat down.

Dan turned the seat to face Tempest. "Well, I suppose what I really want to know is how your dad died. you said he got taken out in a car crash, but how did it happen. Was he hit, or did he hit something?" He asked as he put his hands behind his head. The answer to that question might give him a glimpse into how deep this went.

Tempest tensed for a moment, and stood up, after a few moments. "The car was hit on the side by what I think was a black car. I'm not sure I what brand it was. My mom and I were in the car as well, of course you already knew that seeing as how she also died." The teen then felt a massive pain run through his head, and put a hand to his head. "Sorry. Just a headache."

Rick listened to the conversation in Lyoko through the monitor and couldn't quite figure out what was going on. "Guys am I missing something here?" It sounded like they were talking about a conspiracy theory that happened around Tempest's family, but why would Dan have things to ask Tempest's uncle? He shook his head and started climbing one of the forest trees while listening for a response, it had sounded serious.

Dan now knew something was up. "Let me guess, the car was a truck small enough to be moderately fast, yet big enough to do real damage. Tinted windows, no discernible marks.You probably didn't even get a glimpse of a licence plate, am I on the right track here?" fffffffffffffffffff

Tempest nodded slightly, and sighed. "I didn't see a license plate and there was a lot of black glass around the area, so that is what it most likely was." A second headache then coursed through the teen's brain and the lights around the lab flickered. "What's happening to me?" He thought.

Dan saw the lights flicker but didn't think anything of it. He was instead focused on Tempest's story. "Well i'll tell you, your dad's death has all of the elements of a hit. I'm 95% sure that your dad's death was planned. I'f i'm right, we're all target now if the fact that we know about the computer gets out. We need to find your uncle."

Tempest sighed and shook his head. "I'll see what I can do, but I dont know if this is a good idea." He said. "I guess the only question is who wanted my dad dead, though I can already make a few guesses, based off all of this." The teen then waved a hand in the general direction of the supercomputer. "The inly thing I can't figure out is why he would hide this from me." Tempest then pinched the bridge if his nose, and groaned. "None of this makes sense."

"And it never will until we find someone with answers. Do you know whee your uncle lives? We need to pay him a visit." Dan said as he got up out of the chair to stretch his legs. "He's the only one with answers to all these questions." lll ll llll llll lll ll ll l l

Tempest nodded slightly. "He lives near the academy, so it should be a short walk from here. The house isn't exactly that big, but it shouldn't be to hard to miss." He said. The teen then called elevator down, and entered. "Coming or not?" The teen didn't really care,mbu the thought it would be right for Dan to at least be given the opportunity.

The ambulance came only moments later, taking Meghan on a stretcher and loading her into the back. Dart was allowed to go with her on the ride to the hospital since he was family. Whisper rocked back and forth on her heels nervously; almost in a panic. she didn't know if her friend was even alive. The crowd of kids didn't help either and in a show of insecurity; Whisper buried her face into Rushs chest, wishing everyone would just go away.

The ambulance screeched to a halt in front of the hospital. Minx was pulled out and carefully placed onto a gurney. She was then rushed into the emergency room and was given life-threatening priority. The doctors tried to successfully keep her heart beating as they raced to the operating room. There, her heart had given out completely and the doctors raced to get it back in working condition.

They got a defibrillator and one of the doctors rubbed the paddles together. One of the nurses had ripped her shirt open, exposing bare skin. "CLEAR!" He shouted once he thought it was ready. He placed the paddles against her skin and an electric current ran through her body. Her chest jumped a bit as the paddles left her but there was still no heartbeat. "Come on. One more time. CLEAR!"

The doctor rubbed the paddles again and placed the paddles to her chest. Her whole body jumped up as a more powerful electric shock went though her body, bringing her nervous system back to life. Her heart started to slowly beat and the doctors and nurses sighed in relief. "Take her to intensive care." The doctor said.

The nurse did as instructed and slowly wheeled Meghan to the ICU. Once there, Meghan was hooked up to all sorts of tubes and fluids to help keep her alive until she could function on her own.

While all this was happening, Dart was internally freaking out and wondered what was happening with his sister. He looked up when a pair of feet stopped in front of him. The feet belonged to a nurse. He looked at her sullenly. "Dart Gref?" He frowblned at the surname but nodded anyway. "Don't worry. You're sister will be fine. Since she's in intensive care, she won't be allowed any visitors until she is at least out of the ICU and into a regular ward." The nurse informed him. He nodded in understanding and got up from the uncomfortable chair.

"Thanks Sheila. I'll tell her friends that as well." Dart thanked and walked out of the hospital, with his hands in his pockets and headed towards the school. He planned to tell Rush and Whisper since they were the only friends he knew Meghan had. If she had any more then he was sure that Whisper and Rush would tell them.

Rush gently embraced Whisper, wrapping his arms around her and softly stroking her hair. He quietly murmured into her ear, "Don't worry. She'll be okay. For now, let's just get out of here and find somewhere quiet away from this big crowd. Do you want to go up to my room? We don't have to do anything, I don't mean it like that. It's just somewhere quiet where we can be alone."

"Yeah yeah, hold up." Dan said. He then picked up the microphone "Rick, its Dan. I gotta go so I trust you can devirtualize yourself when you get bored in there." He made his way to the elevator and the waiting Tempest. "Lets hope we get some answers out of this guy. Despite how I act, i'm not one for wasting time."

Tempest smirked slightly, and nodded. "Something tells me were going to get along just fine." He said, as he made the elevator start it's descent up. He could only imagine how his uncle would react, but he had no other choice. "I just hope Amber and the others are ok. I don't want them to get involved in this." He thought to himself.

Before they left, an image flashed across the screen. It was so quick; it was like a blur. A scyphozoa darted in the distance, something entangled in its tentacles,

 

Whisper was with Rush in his room, still shaken about the whole ordeal. She sniffled lightly next to him "Whatever that Lyoko thing is, it's ruining our lives. .."

 

Genesis, on the other hand, was deeply entrenched in the notes "Sol...? Sol,eh? Where the hell did I hear that name?". It tickled in the back of her mind; was it that bloke from before?

Tempest sighed as he walked down the street towards the house he had been staying in for the past few years. It wasn't exactly big, but even then it still stood out from the other houses. A wall with a gate separated it from the street, which Tempest easily opened via number pad next to the gate. "Well, no stopping now." He said to himself, as he knocked on the main door to the house door.

 

(@RunsWithSquirlz: If you want to control Tempest's aunt and uncle, I have no problem with that.)

He shook his head, putting an arm around her shoulders comfortingly. "We can't let it ruin everything for us. We'll find a way to fight it, whatever it is. And I promise we'll win, too. Because it made you cry, and now I'm mad. Nothing is allowed to make you cry." He squeezed her shoulder reassuringly. "We can do this. Everything is going to be fine."

Dart walked briskly towards the school, wondering how he would find Whisper and Rush. He didn't have their number and he certainly didn't know where their dorms were. 'Come on Dart. Think. How will you find out where they are? You could ask the reception where their dorms are. Probably sound weird if he asked where a girl's dorm was.' Dart thought to himself and figured that if he couldn't find them in the courtyard, then he would ask for their dorms. That seems the next best thing. He played with his fingers nervously and walkd into the courtyard, wondering if he could find Rush and Whisper there.
