planning Space Action/SoL RP (Non-pony)

Hey everyone, I've been working on this setting for a while, and I would like some help to set up a role-play in it. Here's the general backstory:

Humanity is now an interstellar race in a society of interstellar races. Not everything is peaceful, but there is a general consensus that all-out galactic war is a bad idea. As such, a tenuous peace exists between the various races of the universe. However, this does not mean that the races of the universe like each other, and in "central space", areas where the central governments of the universe have power, black-ops teams conduct raids for their empires. "Free Space" Is an area of lawlessness, run by bandits and pirates of all sorts, who occasionally foray into central space. It's space where you can do what you want, when you want, so long as you have sufficient power to back it up. This is where Repairmen come in. A "Repairman" is a mercenary who specializes in dealing with particularly dangerous or sensitive situations, particularly ones where even a trained black-ops team would be considered too much of a risk. They typically work in small teams, though some choose to operate on their own. The main advantage they have over normal imperial troops is that they could be anyone, anywhere, at any time.

 

The general idea is for everyone to play a repairman in a single team, who start on a mission that then spirals into a much larger, universe-wide, plot.

I'd seriously like any suggestions you can give me, especially for alien race ideas, as well as the participation of anyone interested.

ooh, this sounds pretty cool. 

If we're to be aliens/humans in this roleplay, may I suggest a little character sign up template so we know what information to fill out, and it would also help out on the whole who is who problem. 
But I would love to sign up for this, and I have a couple of alien idea's already in my head, things like humanoids sensitive to emotions, or homoreptilians, or glob things, gotta love glob things.

She has black dreadlocks fading into bright green. Has heterochromia; one teal eye and one brown.

Specialization/Talent: Tanya's specialization would be designing and inventing weaponry . general machinery and engineering, always strives to learn things not in her field.Moonlights at clubs as a DJ for supplemental income.Fond of creating mixes and original dance beats.

Character name: Ravek 

Species: Anotaetians 

Appearance: She looks human, saying that now. But she is small and a little skinny, with a very short and boyish haircut and grey hair. She's a teenanger, with Brown eyes. She has sturdy boots, comfortable clothing made with a hybrid of leather and wool, and usually has a long tooth like knife and small machinery on her. 

Specialization/Talent: While her talent is for the arts, which come to play quite often when dealing with space, her specialisation is with dangerous animals, situations, and explosions. She's a great actor, is a good illustrator and writer, and can do alot of music. But also is a good hunter and dealer of very dangerous animals, and explosives, so dangerous situations are a well versed experience under her belt.

Sorry, I'll get round to the last two when I have a better understanding of things, but I would like to mention. Anotaetians are like humans, but can be sensitive to emotions and feelings, of course this sensitivity can be turned off, which Ravek does for the most part, though it can be used to spy on others and such.

Hey all, I know it's been a while, but I just got access to an internet connection long enough to make a full-length post. Anyway, here's a list of the 'Empire' races, I'm still accepting (And greatly looking for) non-core races, those who live either under the Empires or in Free Space.

Core Races:
Humans:

One of the newer races to Imperial space, humanity took the galaxy by storm, taking over the Orion arm of the galaxy in an unheard-of 50 years. Their main advantage was their habit of taking their enemy's tactics and using them to their own advantage. Eventually the other Empire races let humanity have a spot in their Coalition, and a science and technology sharing agreement. After this advance, humanity spread out and integrated with the rest of the galaxy.

 

Chromeans:
A race of humanoids identifiable by their skin, which varies in color based on the psionic ability they possess. Their technology is relatively rudimentary for a spacefaring race, they make up for their relative lack of technology with the aforementioned powerful mental abilities and persuasive qualities. However, this lack of technology, and habit of eschewing any advances made by other races, have made them one of the weaker empires, though their troops are highly prized as special operations fighters due to their not needing a weapon to be lethal.

 

Andozites:
The andozites are a race of energy creatures who are the newest race in the Coalition. Some can absorb kinetic energy, some thermal, and some electrical. When an Andozite comes of age, they are tasked with creating something that will in some way improve the current status of the race. Due to this, the Andozites are legendary throughout the galaxy for their mastery of technology and academic prowess. However, they are also known for their lack of military might, which has led to them being invaded more than any other race in galactic history.
