Hello, I'm new here.

Hey, I've been a fan from near the start of the show, but I've mostly stayed away from the internet side of the fandom, save for looking at the memes, and some fan art. I have a feeling there's a large part of Brony culture I'm ignorant of. I mostly stay away from commenting on the internet in general, but I've started branching out.

Anyway, I've taken a quick look around the site. Is there anything in particular I should know?

Hi SAmaster and welcome to the forums.  Is there a particular reason you've avoided, as you call it, the Internet side of the fandom if I may ask?   Bronies are very similar to fans of other toy and animated franchises.  It has a male majority and it gets some criticism for liking something that dudes...or even dudettes...their age "shouldn't".  Yes, there are some people that you can legitimately call weirdos who like ponies.  But you have that in every fandom.  But the vast majority of us are normal young men and women who go to school, work, and contribute to society.

If you stick around and get to know us as a whole, I think you'll agree with me.  :)

It has nothing to do with bronies or ponies in particular. I've just stayed away from the internet side of fantoms for the most part. It's a bit intimidating to jump on in, so I'm traditionally reluctant to do it.

I agree.

I am mostly that way myself with ponies for reasons.

Not to mention it is always good to lurk around a bit before joining.

Hi there! Welcome to the forums. If you look at the mainstream brony sites like here (Which has strict rules in terms of trolling, inappropiate content, etc) and Equestria Daily, then you're unlikely to encounter trollish or immature behavior. Just don't actively seek out immature behavior, and you'll unlikely encounter it :)

Anyways, hope you have fun here on the pony or non-pony material.

I've been collecting them since I was young. I only stopped when they stopped making them.
