The fimfiction.com groups say be proud to be human.  It can be very hard for me to be proud, almost insurmountable.  Knowing that the Westboro Baptist Church exists makes me want to be a pony in Equestria so badly.  I would gladly give up my possessions just to live in peace where everypony loves and cares for each other.  I can easily guess that Celestia supports same sex marriages to keep the peace.  Either way, I'm still human and ponies don't exist but apparently God is "real".

Well besides the obvious biological factor that if our world was mainly gay for enough time to generate a social stigma against heterosexuality like homosexuality has today the human race would not exist as we know it, as only very very recently have we gained the technology that allows same sex couples to produce offspring (and even in most of those cases, a surrogate mother is still needed). And that such a society would be a lot more removed from ours due to surrogacy being a major implement of reproduction due to homosexuality being the norm for that society. Either that, or they would not be human as we classify ourselves, as they are able to reproduce asexually.

 

But I suppose once you remove all real world constraints in order to construct this thought experiment world, it can be a interesting thought experiment.

Do I believe God sends people to hell for being gay, bi, or some other than hetero?

No, of course not.

That's one part of the Bible I believe might have been added during the translation.

And even if it was a sin, I don't think God would send anybody to hell for it.

And as for the last sentence you said:

 

God= Religion

 

Ponies= TV Show

 

There's a huge difference.

I will admit though, the Westboro Baptist Church Baptist church is a bit nuts.

Sadly, bullying over sexual preference really does happen in today's world. It will probably never change.

 

A world where homosexuality is the social norm sounds interesting. In a perfect world, ALL types of sexuality are accepted. But of course, there will always be deep-rooted hatred. There's not much to do about it :/

This is soo weird. No it's weird because I saw this video over a year ago and now you're reshowing me it. And I remember it. So if gay was the norm and straight was bad THEN I'd be the weirdo. And I wouldn't care.

Its just human nature. If someone isn't considered normal, then they are ridiculed for that reason. Just like how Bronies are ridiculed for liking a "girly" show. For me, I love to stand out from the norm. Its fun that way (Just to be clear, I'm not homosexual).

I listened to the entire thing.

There was always something in the back of my mind that God had something against homosexuality.

After hearing that sermon I'm 100% convinced that he doesn't.

The frik'n Westboro Baptist Church needs to watch that video.

Despite being Christian, more a member of the LDS church (a.k.a. Mormon), if I saw a homosexual being bullied or harassed I would stand up for them and speak out against the tormentors.

 

Why? Because they are my brother or sister, and I do not believe hate is the way of God.

 

Sighs, yet despite being willing to defend those being attacked I'm not truly an ally. I believe in The Family: A Proclamation to the World which makes what God feels about the structure of the family and marriage, of gender identity.

 

Yet, though I cannot be called an 'ally' I believe showing hatred to homosexuals or to attack, demean, insult, or treat as monsters is wrong and not of God's will.

 

Also of note is as I believe that God will not send to 'hell' homosexuals merely for having feelings for the same sex. The only sin would be to act on it, and even the action will not send a homosexual to hell. No does thar mean the action is not a sin? No, I'm not sayong that but...

 

... you know what I may well be digging a hole for myself. The point of my rambling is that I would be one offering to protect homosexuals from attack and abuse, to speak up if I saw bullying and harm. I should have left it at that.

I can't watch this at the moment, but if memory serves it doesn't say anything about people of other sexualities, so I guess personally I would still be erased and discriminated against in the same way I am now *shrugs*

 

Although, as someone in an opposite-sex relationship, I am largely considered to be "straight-passing", something that I benefit from in our society the way it is, but would be discriminated against for in the society presented here. 

 

Then the whole polyamory thing would become more visible and I'd be in the same place either way, because that isn't addressed here either *further shrugging*

 

I'm not sure if the point of this thread was to illicit this ramble, but eh. All food for thought I suppose.

That would be bad. The reason why male and female have different reproduction systems are there to be used for reproduction, that's the whole point of having those.
