planning Looking for help geting started with roleplaying

I haven't done roleplaying before, but after looking through this part of the forum, it's something I want to try. So, I'm looking to see if anyone wants to roleplay with me. Since I'm new at this, I'm hoping I can roleplay with someone who has some experience, is patient and willing to answer questions I may have. At the moment, I want to try creating a short, quick RP that I can use to practise and get used to roleplaying.

Riley (me) and Anala (you) just go out for a day and do stuff. Riley really likes Anala but can never seem to tell her.

I've actually already started that roleplay with Blue Eclipse via PM messages, but I'm happy to do more roleplays with everyone else!

 

I don't have any OCs of my own yet, so I was hoping I could gets some pointers on how to create one, or just have someone I can bounce ideas off for my first OC.

I think I'll need to find out what my favourite genres are by just trying them all out and seeing how much I like them, but I think I'd enjoy slice of life, adventure and sci-fi roleplays and I'd want to avoid crossover, romance and sad roleplays.
